Lasted 2 weeks
The chewy was good...at first. Lasted only two weeks before my son was able to break it apart with his teeth

The slobber has stopped!
My 6 year old son has been a slobber fest for almost 2 years. It started right before covid when he would chew on the neck of his shirt. Then once covid hit he would chew and suck on his mask while at daycare and continue sucking on his shirt neck at home. Lately it has gotten worse and he has more tics and constantly sticks his fingers in his nose and mouth. So unsanitary and hard to watch. I came across this Chewable Gem necklace on a link to an article I was reading regarding these hard to break habits and figured I would give it a shot. Glad I did! We have had it for about 2 weeks now and although my son is constantly chewing on it and its sometimes hard to understand him, he keeps his hands out of his mouth and his shirt is dry. The tics have stopped too when he has the necklace. Also, today when I picked him up from camp his mask was dry even though he did not have his chewable necklace with him. First time since covid started! I am hoping it's changing the sucking habit! Soaking wet masks full of slobber was soooo gross and unsanitary. I would be ecstatic if that kept up!! Anyways, highly recommend. Hopefully one day he can go without but for now I feel the necklace is the lesser of two evils (mostly b/c it is constantly in his mouth - even when talking).

The squeak is real.. In depth review. UPDATED
UPDATE BELOWToday is day 1. My husband has ADHD with an oral fixation and before he got a chew, he would bite his fingers RAW. To the point of bleeding sometimes. When he is focused on something like really into a TV show or playing his game or he is really focusing on work, he bites and bites and bites. So we finally got him a chew and it works great for him. His fingers are finally healing. But he gets through them in like a matter of like 4 days. So we finally got a XXT one to see if we could make it last a bit longer.First impressions from him: a good chew. Bounces back; is more spongy than past chews used. Probably just because of a different material. A bit tough on the jaw but to be expected because it’s tougher. Be aware it does squeak which means I can’t bring this to work.**THE SQUEAK THOUGH** as a bystander listening to it, I almost want to give it 3 stars just because of the squeak alone. It’s VERY noticeable. But my husband said it doesn’t bother him and he thinks it might go away in time. We’ll see. I will update the review after some time to check on squeak and durability.UPDATED REVIEW: So, the squeak did eventually stop after a while of use. My husband used this thing the majority of every day for about a month before he got his first split. But once it split, it didn’t last much longer. Sadly for us, I don’t think we’ll be buying another one. $20 a month is a bit extreme 😂 overall I wouldn’t say this is a bad product at all. Just not tough enough for my husband apparently lol

Not for moderate chewers
I read the reviews and description and picked the XL based on how I thought it would last compared to my son’s chewing habits. We received it Aug 24 and today is Sept 5th and it is broken. I was hoping with the much higher price if $20 that they would last longer than the cheaper ones on amazon. My son is a moderate/heavy chewer. I was impressed the first couple of days, but it was quickly obvious that it was not solid like I had hoped for the price and wasn’t going to last. Not a great value for the money.

Broke in 2 weeks
While it lasted much longer than the usual 24-48 hours for regular chewy necklaces, he chewed through it within 2 weeks. Big bummer given the hefty price tag.
