Well, after months of purchasing these enzymes, and after months of testing their affectiveness, I’ve decided that it’s high time I leave a review.First of all, it’s important to note that my whole family is gluten free with two members suffering from celiacs, so eating “out” or simply enjoying some food at a friend’s home can be stressful and ultimately harmful. Cross contamination is always a worry for those that are celiac or suffer from a severe gluten sensitivity. We can’t have food cooked in the same area as gluten and can’t even have food touch gluten products, otherwise it’s weeks of suffering. I can safely say that, after multiple purchases of these enzymes and multiple tests, these pills have become a staple in our home. The celiac and severely gluten sensitive take a few pills before and after a meal when eating out, even at restaurants with cross contamination, and suffer no consequences. Those that are more mildly affected by gluten can take these and eat gluten with no harmful effects (which has proven to be a winner for picky boys!). They are absolutely amazing. We never leave the house without them and always make sure we have a bottle around the house, just in case. They even help with breaking down other hard-to-digest foods, like meat and other things that might be tough for a celiacs sufferer to eat. Whatever the need, I highly suggest these enzymes.

I don't have a diagnosed gluten intolerance, but I have gluten sensitivity, which gives me joint pain, sometimes diarrhea next day after eating food with gluten. These are effective for me to take when I go out to eat or want a special treat occasionally (at home I cook gluten free). I'm not sure how well they work for people with a more serious gluten intolerance.

I bought Gluten Relief Plus for my husband, because he has gluten sensitivity. He doesn’t intentionally eat foods that contain gluten, but sometimes he will eat foods that may have cross-contamination. He said they definitely help in those situations. However, the really great thing I noticed is the bottle says it may also help with the digestion of other foods (like dairy). Since I have dairy sensitivity, I decided to try it. And I’m glad it did. I try to limit my dairy consumption, but find it difficult to eliminate dairy completely. I usually get mild-to-moderate stomach pain depending on how much dairy I consume. Now, when I eat dairy, I make sure to take one Gluten Relief Plus pill first. It’s really made a big difference.

I have ordered these for years now. The have worked well. My last 2 bottles have a smell and taste that has not been there before that really is bad. Also, note that the are "Free of wheat, egg, milk, soy, treenuts, peanuts, fish and shell fish but if you look on another part of the bottle, right above the boxed not evaluated by the FDA statement, it has an allergen warning on it for "wheat, milk eggs soy". Don't think I will be purchasing going forward. Which is disappointing because it does work.

We buy these regularly for upset stomach issues in our house.
