The silicon covering the connections, after cutting the strip to size, is a very delicate & tricky task and requires great care. In order to use the white double-ended connectors - either straight or L-shaped - I suggest some practice before making your final cut, as accurately cutting through the silicon with scissors takes care & patience, as does removing the surplus silicon & backing tape so the fine strip thus exposed will fit snugly (and so work properly!)I had several failed frustrating attempts, either cutting the centre of the 5-pin connectors inexactly through the relatively thick rubbery silicon, leaving the strips a little too short, or cutting too close to the outlined diode (which is very near the end of the cut strip) and damaging the terminals.Its also a delicate art to removing the somewhat stubborn silicon and checking with both touch and a magnifying glass that its all been carefully removed, as if there's a thin transparent residue of silicon covering the contacts then you won't get a good connection.I found a sharp Stanley blade (between the fingers & not in the handle) worked best for me, and necessarily taking great care not to cut either too deep or too shallow. Once the silicon is removed, the corresponding sticky backing tape on the underside needs to come off so the connectors will accommodate the strip. And then beware, as the finally exposed strip is all too bendable!I found a small tipped soldering iron & fluxed solder useful to help to ensure the actual contacts were exposed, & decided in the end to try using wires to make right-angled or straight connections between the 2 cut ends, and use transparent heat shrink to seal them all up. This seems more successful than using the small white connector blocks, but this method is also a delicate task.Another point is to ensure the connector blocks are the right matching width, as the 12mm wide connectors are incompatible with the 10mm strips, and vice versa, so do take care when ordering the right ones to match the strip!And allow yourself plenty of time, practice and patience to do the connection job properly!

The media could not be loaded.  I am amazed at the quality of the led lights, they are very bright and the brightness can easily be changed.They arrived early than expected and the seller has really good customer service.They are RGBW, which means that the led lights produce a pure bright white light.The lights can be controlled from your phone and can be paired with your smart speakers such as Alexa so you can set up routines. The set up is super quick and simple and you can pair these with your network within minutes.The lights stick well to walls and ceilings and do not fall of easily.The lights can sync with your music which makes them great for creating a nice musical atmosphere. I would recommend these lights to anyone.Well worth the money!They have a variety of different modes on the app and you can also customise the colour sequence.

The strip features alternating cool white and tri colour LEDs. Bright enough on account of 12v supply. The product should drop some stars because the sales photo shows multiple colours on the same strip. This model cannot do that. Amazon can work out if this breaks their seller codes of conduct. As it happens my needs would have made individually addressable LEDs a "nice to have". However I would have felt very different if my prime requirement was individual addressability (i.e. WS 2811 family). It is not at all clear in the sales blurb.Having got that off my chest, this is an interesting LED configuration that lends itself to mood lighting or interior design projects. The little remote is very basic and for some tricky to use (read other reviews) but the app is really versatile. It's installation instructions require you to connect it to your home (and hopefully secure) wi-fi network. To me that would mean letting a device of no provenance behind our firewall with potential security implications (I'm thinking Huawei here). The device would sit on the same internet-connected network you do work and home banking on. No thanks. However you can set up a non-internet direct w-ifi connection between your phone and the light controller but this isn't documented. That creates another issue in that the connection is insecure but to me this is the lesser of the two evils as the app would be used intermittently.

The media could not be loaded.  I am a big fan of strip lights and I would like to decorate my house full with strip lights.This strip lights are totaly different than other because each LED can be controlled individualy, and I can obtain superb effects with this cool feature. On the normal strip lights, all LED`s have the same colour for the full lengh of the strip. On this strip light I can have first LED`s on red, middle LED`d on green and the last LED`s on Blue.It use the same "Magic Home" phone app, and the paiping with the app is very simple. This app have more than 300 light effects and it is very fun. This strip lights add another level of lighting for me.The pairing with the app is very simple. The MagicHome phone app is very simple to use. One feature that I really like is the music feature, that pick-up the sounds with the phone and light the LED`s in the rithm on the sorounding music.Very pleased with this purchase.Very pleased with the outcome.Recommend 100%

Led strip came with one end completely unusable, had to take 10cm off the broken end as the traces were touching where the led strip was broken causing the wrong colours to appear on that part of the strip. Apart from that it is a very bright led strip and responds well on the app and remote

Absolutely perfect LED strip light to compliment the house. The leds are bright and have a wide range of colours. The app control works brilliantly making it easy to select different modes. All you could want from an LED strip.
