Elite, elegant, precise, a rare find
This TG Tatsu knife is one of the finest knives I've ever owned. Every part on it is manufactured to high quality standards, and made of top materials: D2 tool steel, titanium, stainless steel ball bearing blade pivot, and a real carbon fiber inlay insert. The tanto blade is thin and razor sharp, and the edge lines are razor straight. They meet at a crisp angle at the tanto edge, and I'm dreading the day I have to sharpen it. Though it looks thin, the blade is stiff, and is rock solid when open: there is zero joint movement. The opening tab is unique, and it takes time to get used to. This knife is not designed like regular "finger" tab quick openers. You initiate the blade rotation with your thumb, followed by a wrist flick. Customers who said the tab is on the wrong side should study this knife more. It took me a few days, but I can pull and open the blade almost as quick as automatic front openers (think Microtech). I would expect this knife to cost much more, and I'm thrilled with my purchase. I did not expect this knife to replace my exotic daily carry tool.Edit: A year into daily carrying this awesome knife, I lost a screw from the bottom of the handle. I had disassembled the knife a couple times to clean it and lube the bearing, so it was probably my fault for not adequately tightening the screw. I sent TacticalGearz a message regarding the lost screw, and Jason mailed me a replacement screw kit immediately. I received the new screws in 3 days, and now my favorite knife is back in action.

Great for dress clothes, and nice knife for anytime
This knife is a winner. Very sharp out of the packing, slim but long enough to be "effective" and useful. Some of these comments suggest that some of the buyers are not familiar with a "top lever" level placed for security and easy, quick open. The lever is not on the wrong side of the knife. If you are not used to this kind of top lever, just play with it a bit and you will find it quite easy to "operate". For the money, this is a nice and unique knife. Clearly inspired by the razor, it adds the benefits of a clip knife including the secure open, the locking blade and the clip. Nice knife if you want a long blade that carries well with dress pants --- it is not bulky, not obvious, and a nice weight.

Very nice Knife Updated to FIVE STARS...
I love this thing. Quality craftsmanship and materials and it looks and works great! Blade is sharp and holding it's edge nicely. Only problem I had was with the pocket clip. Went to bend it open a touch and it snapped right off (very brittle metal)! Hate to have to buy a new one just for that...UPDATE: Just got a replacement clip and screw from the guys for no charge. Also informed me that the clip is not bendable so I'll take it as it is! Great customer service and a really nice piece of gear!

Well made, but NOT a flipper
Despite this blade being a lot smaller than the photos led me to believe (it is very narrow and almost "delicate"} it is well made and very sharp. Nice frame-lock too. What it is not, is a "flipper" as advertised! The designers have chosen to put the opening flip "stud" in line with the back of the blade rather than protruding from the underside through the frame as with most other designs. This arrangement means there is little to no leverage, and attempting to open the knife one handed in the traditional way is impossible - it can be done with your thumb, holding the knife but it is awkward, slow, and one risks getting cut. Irritatingly, the cutout in the frame where you'd normally expect a groove in the blade to enable opening with a finger nail, does not have such a groove present, so you can't even doo that. In short, nice knife, but flipper it is not. Would not buy again.

Better in person
Nice fit and finish, smoothe action with nice angles and a sharp blade. Bought 3 total all different. Very satisfied!!!

BLADE DOES NOT LOCK
Nice to look at it, but the blade lock does not work. You can fully extend it to the "locking" position, but it does not lock. The knife will close again at the slightest touch on the back of the blade, and if your fingers are there, that won't be a good day for you. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

Love It
Awesome knife, I've carried It everyday since it's arrived. Pair's well with whatever I'm conceal carrying that day also. Great for the money, I don't know what these other people are talking about, knife Is easy peasy to open for me, I just open it a quarter ways with side of thumb, then flick the rest of the way. Put a tad of muscle into It, you wont die I promise. Really looking forward to other knifes the company makes. Highly recommend.

The knife feels sturdy.
I wasn’t expecting a sturdy grip by simply seeing the width of the handle but was pleas fly surprised once I figure out the blade lock mechanism. My original intent was simply having a fidget toy. The weight of the knife feels solid. There is no real way of knowing how well this will last as time will tell with normal use. I will update after a week of use.The finish of the handle left me curious how my natural oils would tarnish the color if any… and well it does and I like it even more now.
