Great first build!
This kit was a bit overwhelming and I definitely let the reviews cloud my mind. It all came together pretty easy in about 25 hours of work. I did not take the time to sand each piece, which just makes the finishing touches a little rough. I built this for my 2 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it! It is a strong durable build and I know the time I spent on it is much appreciated. I did make the mistake of painting the side walls with a different kind of paint on each side of those pieces. It warped the wood. I was terribly worried that I ruined the whole project. Luckily it is such a great kit that it did not bother the finished product one bit!

Missing Shingle sheets
I had fun putting this together so far. And the laser wasn't exactly precise so some pieces did chip, but other than that it's been straight forward. The one thing I'm unhappy about is that my kit didn't include the shingles for the roof.

Beautiful house
I love ❤️ this kit. It is my first dollhouse in well over 30 years and I don’t even remember how I put the last one together. I did lots of research on this before I bought it and knew what I was getting into this time. I was prepared for the wood to be delicate since it is fragile wood. That’s the nature of these kinds of dollhouses I found out. I was also prepared for warping since I planned to use water based paint and products. I have taken lots of care and time and it’s almost done and decorated except the shingles. They were missing like other peoples but a note to the seller and shortly afterwards they arrived in the mail no problem. I will order from Greenleaf again because the kits are so ornate. However I will spend the extra money for the laser cut kit so I can save myself some time and patience. Please sell more stuff on Amazon so I feel safe buying. I don’t like individual websites due to hacking issues.

instructions are easy to read
Simple to put together, instructions are easy to read. I do have to say the shingles in this kit are crap. You will destroy half of them even taking your time to cut them out with an xacto. And don't bend anything! not even slightly! keep everything flat or you can accidentally curve or crack a piece. The wood seems to be of different qualities. Some pieces are more durable than others with the same thickness. If you can manage not to break a piece, it's a gorgeous little house for a beginner miniaturist or small child. I just wish I could afford a larger one.

Like putting a puzzle together in which none of the pieces fit.
Well, it's true you get what you pay for. This is a worthless piece of crap. Nothing lines up. It has been the biggest hassle to put together. I have previously built two dollhouses and did not have difficulty. Maybe try to make pieces the right size and so they fit together how they are supposed to next time. I'm disapointed and I sure hope my niece with be happy that I put hard work into even if it doesn't look great. If I had time, I would get another kit, but never again from Greenleaf.

Flimsy
I was excited to get this house and build it. I read reviews and I knew that the wood was thin and a bit flimsy, but I still thought the house was cute and I gave it a shot. Wish I hadn’t. My biggest complaint is actually the windows. They are definitely not windows. It’s like this cheap plastic sheet. It’s like a paper dollhouse or something. Very very cheap. I amPaying extra and going with a solid wood kit.

It can be done
Oh geez...where to start? Let me first say that this kit took me way longer than necessary because I had to take several mental breaks. The kit itself is fine, however the instructions are vague and there's a lot of guess work involved. Secondly, the pieces do not match up and fit together like they're supposed to so you'll have to trim and sand certain parts just to make them align. I highly recommend that you paint/wallpaper ect FIRST before any assembly (trust me, you'll thank me later). Also, many of the parts are brittle and flimsy, so be prepared for that. I used clear gorilla glue to secure the pieces together, I didn't trust it to hold together otherwise.I also shelled out extra money to upgrade certain parts, such as a nicer staircase and better shingles for the roof. I bought all of the materials and decorations separately, so you'll want to keep that in mind when factoring cost. All in all, it's definitely doable if you're patient and creative but it's tedious and frustrating at times. Good luck!

Good Product - Good Company
Kudos to Greenleaf. The person building this dollhouse really enjoyed it. He is no longer capable of reading and understanding directions in detail, but still was able to assemble it with good success. Special thanks to Greenleaf for the quick response and assistance with an issue (not because of the product, but because of the of the person building it). When he wants to build another one, we won't hesitate to get him another Greenleaf dollhouse.
