An absolute life saver!
I was in the middle of sorting insects and had to meet a deadline, so of course the bulb burns out. Very fast shipping! I was able to complete the work in time. Still burns just as bright 3 months later.

Most other lamps rated at 21 volts and burn out quickly. These last longer!
I have purchased these several times and enjoy the long life. We do not run our lamps at 100%, which may be adding to the longevity. Very satisfactory for our use inspecting optics.

Not Bright Enough
This lightbulb did not meet my needs. I have a fiber optic illuminator to look at high magnifications (10-60x) under a dissecting scope, and the bulb from the manufacturer burnt out. I bought this thinking it would fit the bill, but it’s just not bright enough to be used. You have to get the light source way too close to your subject in order to illuminate it properly. Idk if it’s the bulb itself or the reflector, but it just doesn’t work well for dissecting scopes. If you are using this for a fiber optic illuminator with a stereo microscope, save yourself some time and frustration and don’t buy this.
