Extra? Not sure it's extra.
It is thinner than the standard cutting so there fore stiffer maybe, that has something to do with the cutting action.I didn't see any dramatic difference in the cut between this and the standard cutting disc.So I cut he value/dollar rating. "Easy to use"? Cutting and buffing is hard IMO and I don't think this reduces the work of it so I gave that a 3. But, it's kind of a silly question.

Bought them last minute
Had to get these shipped last minute since my wool compound pads were all shot. They get soaked fairly easily tho. I’d suggest getting 6 of these for a medium size SUV.

The best cutting pad I’ve used
I bought these for correcting my freshly painted classic car. It needed heavy correction after the paint shop wet-sanded and did a sub-par job buffing. I’ve reduced the amount of cutting time per panel with these pads coupled with Megs M100. They are super easy to clean and have lasted me the entire car.

The best cutting disk for DA polisher on the market
These pads cut extremely well and quickly when paired with Meguiars DA Correction Compound. I highly recommend. They cut fast due to the low profile interface. This causes more vibration feel when using a machine but that’s perfectly normal so don’t worry if you have that experience.

be careful
Be careful buying this. I ordered this by accident. I meant to buy the cutting pad.If you know what you are doing this pad is great, but if you are not careful you can really cut in to the paint with this.Buy this if you know what you are doing, if you are unsure go with the cutting pad.
