If you keep everything in context this thing is king of the portables
This is dictated excuse typos, it’s important to keep everything in context here, this thing cost 300 quid and that’s cheap for what it does, it can do airplay from Apple, it’s got Wi-Fi and Bluetooth built-in, the speakers are Stella, the battery life is great, in a dark room or outside the picture is more than acceptable but not full HD, The android system isn’t the best but given you can airplay from your device or put an ST card in it or connect via HDMI, are you getting the point? It’s so specced up for the price it’s stupid. They will no doubt be new products that will be better than this in time but right now for the reasons I’ve listed this is king, I can go in the garden and put the boxing on 100 and scream zero wires good sound good picture happy family, my daughter froze how movies on to my bedroom wall and then put it away when she’s finished with it, she takes it to grandmas and plays movies no wires no need for Internet, come on for £300 really! It even connects to my daughters Nintendo switch by USBC , I don’t know another device that does that and get this it even charges it. We have laid in bed and projected 75 inch picture on the ceiling even though there is a 50 inch TV in the room just because it’s fun. I think I’ll summarise and say this is not a replacement for a full-time TV, but it will bring hours of fun for kids make sporting events joy and I even use it for work, time will tell how long that will last but ViewSonic are no mugs and I don’t think they’ll let me down

Great for caravan..
I bought this instead of a tv for a caravan. I don’t watch regular broadcast tv so just wanted a device I could watch streaming services or downloaded film/tv shows on.It works great & we use the blinds in the caravan as a screen, or if we have the awning up, the side of the caravan. My son has used the inside of the inner tent & uses it to play his play station through.I link my iPhone via hdmi using a certified Apple hdmi connector & it works fine. It’s not HD or Dolby so sometimes you do have to download alternative versions of downloads for it to play through the projector but all in all we’re extremely happy with the projector. It takes up no room, a tv would. The sound is great, the image is great & the automatic keystone is easy for plug & play. You can manually adjust it if you’re viewing in a weird angle to suit your own viewing desire.I’m a little worried I’m going to lose the remote as it’s small & the unit is controlled by it alone, meaning if the remote packs in you’re stuck. I wish it had buttons on the projector itself but I guess the more expensive versions have that. For the money it’s great as long as you’re not overly hung up on picture quality being Ultra HD quality.

Nifty little gadget that becomes not nifty fairly quickly.
First off, am I chuffed to have a nice little projector gadget that’s turned my bedroom into a cinema - yes! Am I also gutted it’s turned out to be a bit more of a faff than I’d anticipated - also yes. I got the projector on a Black Friday deal for £165.. so based on that the brightness and picture quality is absolutely great. The sound is also fine, if you’re on your own, as soon as you have a few other people around and a bit of background noise I can imagine you’d want to turn it up a notch but can’t. How I hoped it would work is that I’d just hitch my phone up to it over Bluetooth and airplay and off you go - no wires. The phone connects fine to the projector.. but in my experience airplay lags the sound/images and you end up constantly downgrading the playback quality. First upgrade - £50 for a lightening to AVI connect for my phone. Not the projector’s fault. Then I hoped to Bluetooth a speaker to it to beef the sound up. The Bluetooth connects to the projector but then you can’t play images at the same time? You can download a limited selection of apps from the software - Netflix, iPlayer etc, but you’ll need to connect a mouse to the projector to click and select. Sky Go is not an option and from phone/ipad will NOT be playable over mirroring.. purchased yet another cable, thunderbolt to HDMI for my laptop. Now I can connect the speaker to my laptop and ‘Sky Go’ from there. So I have everything set up how I like it.. but what started as a portable, pocket sized gadget now has more cables and gizmos attached than a fairground!! I’d intended to use it as a space saving, energy saving TV replacement on my narrow boat, but now will be charging the surplus gadgets as well so it’s not quite worked as intended. However, the charge lasts about 1.5 hours. So if you are a Netflix user, or have a fire stick etc. and want it for occasional use such as when camping, you’ll be able to travel much lighter. As said, maybe I was expecting too much and should have done my homework on streaming limitations a bit better, but just so you don’t hit the same issues!! Regardless I’ll be keeping the projector and enjoying using it.

Not worth the money
Sent it back after a day. Nice idea but hardly any features work.1) films from memory stick only work off small memory sticks. Would not play from my hard drive or 128gb memory stick.2) pretty much no apps would screen mirror. I tried amazon, Netflix, sky go and Apple TV.3) has built in APP store. Where you won’t find any apps like Netflix etc so you will still need a fire stick or laptop.4) not really in clear in the description is you need a laptop sized power supply to charge it. I had assumed it was charged by usb C. You don’t get a case that carry’s everything. So the total size of this with the power supply is the same as a normal mini projector as I hardly see any times when I would not need to take it with you.5)turning up the brightness seems to do nothing.6) every time you turn it of it defaults back to eco mode when powered back on.So summary for the negative points is you pay a lot extra for features which don’t really work. The picture quality is ok for its size. Does feel well build and the speakers are excellent. But it’s not worth the price tag. £150 and I might have kept it.
