I wasn't sure that I should have spent any money on the problem I was having with my 2010 MacBook Pro. Some of the advice on the internet said the problem I was having might could be related to a bad logic board. I am sure that problem can exist in many cases. The computer would start up but would not charge the battery. The Mag Charger indicator would remain green. I tried resetting the SMC to no avail. So, I took a chance on purchasing an inexpensive battery that fit the specs for my MacBook Pro. The new battery has the computer charging again. The Mac charger indicator is the orangish color the shows it is charging the battery. I am in the process of calibrating it now. I am very happy that I have revived this computer!

The battery was a perfect fit for a MacBook Pro 15-inch Mid 2010 model A1286, as correctly described in the vendor's product description. The battery was 85% full when I restarted my Mac. It charged back to 100% within minutes. I ma very happy with this purchase. this computer is ready for a second life a fresh OS reinstall!The included screwdrivers are adequate for a one-time replacement.

Edit - I had purchased the MacBook battery on January 14th 2021. As of January 17th 2022 the battery failed. It appears to have a bad cell since the voltage is only 7v instead of 11v. This battery failed with only 118 cycles. The current on the remaining cells is good but the voltage is to low to work. Contacted seller since they had a 12 month warranty and the battery failed due to component failure and not overuse, but I am 3 days out of warranty so they will not honor. That is to be expected. Cheap battery, poor life span, will not purchase again.Initial evaluation of battery is very good. Battery fit well in a 2009 MacBook Pro. Power cable is a bit long but was able to fit with very little issues. Battery identified by the Mac and charged on initial book. Cannot speak of longevity yet. Seems to hold a charge well though.

The battery was straightforward to install and my 2010 laptop was given a new life, albeit as a Linux machine.

The product was well packaged and presentable. It’s brand new, sturdy and built with quality. It works great.

This battery was great and at a great price, my MacBook Pro is 10 years old but after 10 years of use the old battery finally expanded and actually cracked the trackpad, so I replaced the battery and the trackpad at the same time luckily both are working great now,just followed an easy video on YouTube, gave it a complete charge and drain and then use it as normal.
