Feels Like a Legit Episode That Takes Place Late into the 2nd Season
I'm a huge fan of She-Ra, recently finished the series and was excited to hear about this book. I can be very picky about comic adaptations of a cartoon show (I feel like they tend to fall out of character, or don't add much to the overall story since you need to be able to watch the show without them). However everyone felt in character, the art is nicely done and feels close enough to on-model, the story was fun to read and showed some additional depth to the characters. I would say if you're watching the show actively, then read this when you're about halfway through the second season for it to fit in continuity, but it's still an enjoyable read no matter where you are in the series. It also has some nice dynamic between Catra and Scorpia (and I'm a big Scorpia fan so that was a + for me), but it also has all of the princesses and their interactions are also nicely done. Definitely worth considering. I don't think you'd be disappointed.

An SPOP episode in graphic novel form
So many people have described this as “an SPOP episode in graphic novel form,” and they are correct! It’s gay af, has Catradora pining, gives us some more Etheria lore.. and more!I looooved the fact that we got a new Scorpia outfit🥰 And a small Scorfuma moment! And Perfuma and Frosta have an adorable small family moment!Anyway… I love She-Ra!! Where’s our movie??

Good for what it is
Think of this small comic book as an episode of the series from about midway into it. The gang is all here and set up on their respective side of good or "evil" .For what it is, the book does it's job. It ticks the boxes it was meant too. And why fault it for that. For me tho, I wanted so much more. This would've been a great chance to get under the skins of our favorite characters. Also while I wouldn't want the overall designs changed, they could have really gave us some amazing art within the medium. While I love the series animation, I feel just plopping it onto the page as they've done here does it no justice. So my review of this book is, its ok but they could have really done something here.

Excellent
An excellent short story that I feel would've made a great 2 parter episode if they had chosen to animate it. The art was lovely and the writing was in tune with the tv writing of the characters themselves. It also brings to light more of some characters attitudes that viewers see in the show itself. It was nice learning more about other princesses of Etheria as well. I can't wait for the next book!

Great Book
I loved the artwork in this book! It's nice and sturdy too. I love She-Ra, so I just had to have it! Great storyline too. Definitely worth the purchase if you're a fan of the show.

Interesting and Unexpected (Older Fans Should Read)
I was hoping, like some fans, for this to sort of quench my thirst until SPOP season 5 came out. The story itself is very similar to season 2 episode 5 (White Out). So much so that it made it somewhat predictable. The good guys and bad guys go after the same thing, fight, and the artifact is destroyed with one side (the bad guys) getting some stuff that might help them. The ending is also very low impact. It neither enhances the original story nor introduces any new theories/ideas that older fans probably bought this for.BUUUUTTT:It does show something very important and that is Adora's emotions after leaving the Horde. The animated series a fantastic job of showing us Catra's reaction when Adora leaves and how she tries to fill that lost void. But from Adora's POV, you almost get the impression that she joined the rebellion and never looked back. This book paints a different picture, depicting Adora's feelings when she is replaced. We even see Catra and Scorpia's "friendship" in real time, which kind season 4 that much more heartbreaking. So if you're a younger viewing who enjoys the show, this would be awesome for you because it has all your favorite characters and does have some action. If you're an older viewer, you might not get your fix on this but check it out for yourself. Hang in there for season 5.

Great comic!!
Definitely want more graphic novels of this franchise!! it was a good length, longer than i thought tbh. the quality of the graphic novel is also impressive. i guess i thought it would be just a small few pages but it’s a genuine book that dives into another lore aspect that i love about this show. please consider making more spin off graphic novels!

great graphic novel
if you like Netflix She-Ra, this is worth getting. It is a good story, basically like an extra episode that fits somewhere in the early seasons.
