Understanding Weather and Climate (Masteringmeteorology) 7th Edition

This is about the best book you can find on introductory weather and climate processes. Also, if you're a specialist in one tiny area (but know little about other parts of weather/climate) this can help organize your thinking on the subject.

I am happy that I didn't have to pay a fortune for this book. Having this be my first time ever renting a text from Amazon, I am unaware how things are done. This book does get the job done but is far, far, far from perfect when it comes to its condition

I have always had an interest in weather and climate so the idea to take a class at the local junior college fit perfectly. Since I graduated from that junior college in 1968, a lot of big changes have happened in the area of this science. The book gives a great background in weather with the accompanying videos, and I enjoy the class very much. I know I won't be a weather expert, but I do feel that I will have a much better understanding of the topic.

The book looks like it has been rolled up in a sleeve for years. Many pages fall out constantly as I try to read or flip through the pages. It's usable for studying but I worry that I will be accused of putting the book in such a dilapitated state when I return it.

I felt that the chapters were a little disorganized but that could have been in part to how disorganized my class was

The only reason why I gave this a 3 star is because I bought it for a class at my college and ended up not using it at all

Book was helpful and great. I forgot to return the book and I was charged $160 and I was not aware of the return date so when I return the book; can I get my $160 back ?

I expected the rental to be worn with maybe some things underlined, but the book literally has pages coming undone from the binding.
