We bought this for a self defense option. It appears to be perfect size and length for that purpose.

Dented about 30 times during its first use.. enough so that it was unusable after that. Needless to say, it's second and last use was to take up space in a dumpster.. for good. I think the only thing weak enough to be hit by this without getting a dent would have to be a feather, blade of grass or a speck of dust. Anything larger/heavier and your poor tinfoil-like mini bat-like stick is doomed.DO NOT BUY.. unless you plan on ordering a new one of these bats every single time you use it.With that being said.. maybe a 4 year-old using this bat with woofel or foam balls can miss enough balls to make it last more than one day.

This bat is just the right weight with good weight distribution, and the ideal size for home protection which is what I bought it for or for taking a swing at a tennis, whiffle, or rubber ball.

This is a very lightweight bat a child can use it a woman or a man with arthritis can use it it can be swung very fast it can hurt. Some of the downfalls is that it's a little short and I don't know how much beaten it can take because it's not solid. But if you're a fast swinger this is a bad boy for you.
