Best product for my 3c/4a hair!! But smell not ideal.
The media could not be loaded. I am going to start off with the only con i have which is this hair product smells like vanilla yogurt. It isn’t the worst smell in the world but it is not ideal. It is also not a super strong scent so after the product dries in your hair you can’t smell it much. Some say it smells like playdough which I can see, but vanilla yogurt is the closest scent I could come up with. Now for the pros. As a girl with long curly hair, I have tried just about every brand you can think of to wear my hair down and maintain cute wet beachy curls. This product has absolutely destroyed every other hair lotion I used in terms of perfecting that wet curl look (please note I have 3c/4a hair textures so this product might be too heavy for wavy 2a/c hair and too light for 4b/c hair). It also has some of the best pricing. With long hair I use ALOT of product and I simply can’t afford to spend over $15 for a small bottle of hair product. Applying the “dime” size amount does not apply to all this hair I got lol. With that said shea moisture jamaican black castor oil hair lotion has the best price for me (ranging from $7-$13) for a decent amount of product. Finally my greatest reason for loving this product is the ingredients, or maybe i should say lack of ingredient. This product does not use coconut oil for its main oil but instead uses jamaican black castor oil, peppermint, and apple cider vinegar which are great combos for growing hair and keeping bacteria to a minimum. I HATE coconut oil as it causes severe breakouts on my face and clogs my pours. Wearing my hair down means its always touching my face and I can’t use any products with coconut oil or I turn into a pizza face. This hair product does not cause ANY acne for me. Not many people talk about this in hair product reviews but so many hair products I tried have caused acne and most are the “name brand” ones. Anyways, love this product and will probably use it for the rest of my life lol. Please don’t change any ingredients or start being cheap and put less shea moisture because this product has changed my hair journey for the better! 😭

Great!
I love this moisturizer for my hair and it’s so much cheaper than buying in the store.

Buy This!
I LOVE this hair lotion! I bought it because of Lily Van Brooklyn's hair tutorials and it's phenomenal. I have curly hair and I just run some through my hair when damp and it helps with frizz and is super moisturizing. If I'm doing a curl refresh (non wash day) I just get my hair damp to restructure the curl pattern and add just a tiny bit more of this. It smells slightly vinegar-y when you first put it on but it dissipates in seconds then just smells soft and slightly sweet.

A dream product!
Smell is not the best and if you use too much your hair will turn greasy and ugly but if you use a 25 cent size coin worth of product, mix it with a little water and brush it with your fingers on damp hair, I promise you will not regret buying!!

I love it product
I’m happy Amazon sells this. I can never find this product in stores. Or when I do find it it’s usually not many there. Sometimes 1 or lucky enough two bottles. My hair responds well to this product. It came in the mail okay, but one of the bottles was open but it had plastic on it just incase it did that. Thank you

White on dark hair
Love the smell of it so much I used it as lotion, but it leaves a white cast on dark hair. It's a real shame because it does moisturize and it is a nice lotion for the hair, but who wants to worry about having white bits in their hair they can't see but others might?
