Fits 04' GMC Sierra 2500HD, GREAT!
This tent is awesome! It worked great for my husband last year and a friend borrowed it and is now purchasing one as well. Great quality and fairly easy to assemble. We have an 04' GMC Sierra 2500HD. This tent is very cozy, windproof. We havent used it in rain yet. But im guessing with the quality, itll be plenty waterproof too.

I love this tent
I have had this tent for almost a year now and have used it multiple times so I think I can give an accurate review on it. The TL:DR is I love this tent, and if you are thinking of a truck bed setup like this, this tent is awesome! Being up off the ground surrounded by the truck bed gives an extra sense of security and there is plenty of room inside. Setup: Reviews here mentioned setting it up on the ground vs while it is in the truck bed and having done both methods, I agree setting it up on the ground then lifting it into the truck bed is the way to go. It is especially helpful with another person to help get it into place. The actual setup of the tent is typical, and if you are used to setting up a tent this is similar. It takes about 5 minutes now to get it popped up and into the truck bed, first time is a little frustrating when you don't fully know how it works. I am in a 2005 Nissan Titan and it fits perfectly. Durability: so far this tent has held up just fine with multiple setup and take downs, no visible damage yet, and it survived some very strong winds during a bit of a storm. With the rain fly on it stays perfectly dry inside and not being on the ground when it rains is very nice. Zippers are all holding up fine. I also found out that it can hold up to moving the truck under 20mph recently when a Bear decided to crash our campsite, my Wife and Son inside reported that it was solid during the short ride we took. Inside/comfort: The tent gives a really cozy feeling in your truck bed and even though its just the size of your truck, it feels plenty spacious and sleeps my Wife, Son and I comfortably. There is plenty of headroom and the way it hangs over the sides of the bed make it like a shelf on each side where I like to put my phone/keys/wallet etc... We originally were using a queen size air mattress and while it fit well, the comfort was a bit lacking (probably due to the low quality mattressI was using) I built a modular wood platform that we then put some foam mattress toppers on it that has really made a huge difference, more comfortable, and more stable than an air mattress. Conclusion: We love this tent and have not regretted it one bit, you feel more secure in your truck bed than on the ground. Setup/takedown is standard for most tents, nothing tricky once you get the hang of it, and it fits in its bag easily enough. I would definitely buy it again if something were to happen to it.

Super easy setup, strong tent
I love this truck tent. I bought it mid-summer 2023 and have used it 5 or 6 times. I read lots and lots of reviews on multiple truck bed tents. The two things that stood out to me were material quality and rain fly. This was the only truck bed tent in this price range that had a rain fly. Oddly enough I haven’t had to use the rain fly yet. As far as tent materials, they’ve been solid and great. The tent is super easy to set up. All of the zippers work well. The mesh windows keep the mosquitoes out, which is appreciated. I’ve set it up multiple times just myself, but also with my 6yr. old son and as well as 10yr. daughter. It goes up pretty quickly, about 10 minutes. It sleeps two fully grown adults comfortably, with room to spare, pending how long your truck bed is. The universal fit, fits my 2004 Toyota Tundra full cab just great, with even a little room to spare on the inside, but it tightens up really well on the outside. Many reviews spoke of concerns with the tent poles. My experience, yes they were tight to start with, but just be careful and don’t rush it. Remember you want a stiff and tight tent, not a saggy one. After multiple uses the poles have gotten a little easier to put in. One of the reasons I bought this tent was so I could travel to farther away trailheads, sleep near that trailhead off of a forest road and then get a nice early start. No complaints and I love this tent. I highly recommend it.

6-6.3" Compact Almost Perfect for 4x8 Trailer
(Pictured without the fly installed.) I am happy overall with the quality of what I got, but have three relatively minor gripes that would be easy for the manufacturer to improve: 1) One of the rubber end bumpers immediately fell off of the poles when I took it down the first time. No big deal to just glue back on - if you don't lose it first. 2) Zipper quality is good enough now, but it is light duty plastic and will likely not take much abuse. 3) The entry flap rolling down instead of to the side means I will always be walking or tripping over it to some degree. For my trailer, that means it will end up in the dirt a lot. The flap issue is likely less of one when setup in an actual pickup and kept off the ground, but having to go over it to get in and out every time could be problematic. It does stow nicely when rolled up at the bottom however. That aside, the tent is relatively easy to setup and fits mostly within the confines of my trailer. The only fitment issue for it is where there would normally be a tailgate. The side rails of my trailer restrict how wide the door support poles can spread the tent, so it's a little wonky there, but the zipper still has a nice easy pull regardless. I would likely buy again unless I find something better.

It works. It's tent that fits in the bed of a truck and it does its job 100% I'm a Happy Camper.
This review is based upon purchasing the product according to the fitment chart provided by the manufacturer. It should be noted that I purchased the Rightline Gear 110766 5 Foot Mid Size Short Truck Tent (5') -Tall Bed and it did NOT fit and there were quite a few quality issues APPLICATION: 2015-2021 Chevrolet Colorado - Crew Cab / Short Bed PRODUCT: Napier Backroadz Truck Tent Compact Short Bed (5'-5'2") Regarding the star ratings: Easy to assemble ... 5 stars - Because it's semi-intuitive and instructions are accurate Warmth .................... 5 stars - Because it's a non insulated tent that was as warm as non-insulated tent should be. I didn't rate 5 stars because it was "warm" Thickness ................. 5 stars - Because it was not advertised as heavy duty or having some construction of some exotic strong materials it was up to expectation for durability While I do rate this a 5 star product, it is 5 star because it delivered on the claims and my expectations based on those claims. This is by no means is a premium tent but a great tent for a great price <$200. Having previously purchased a competitive product over this one purely for aesthetic / color reasons, I got a feel for how the truck bed tent experience could be and have a great comparison point. The Napier Backroadz is by far the superior design, as the recommended fitment was spot-on for my application as listed on their chart. Fitment - The truck bed tent fills the entire bed area. The width and height are spot-on with some extra interior material to spare. Being the Chevy Colorado has tall bed sides in relation to other Mid-Size trucks, this means that other Mid Size truck applications should also enjoy good fitment with additional interior material to spare. Unlike the other truck bed tent, the bed hold down straps are partially elastic which makes positioning and set-up much faster. With the no elastic straps every 1/2" of movement needed on one side had to be relieved in equal amounts on the 3 opposite side straps. The elastic makes for easy centering of the tent and once in position they can be pulled tot for the same kind of tension. Functionality / Size - The intention of the truck bed tent having the tailgate down is to the extend the sleeping area to greater than the 5'2"-5'6" area. This tent's design has a near vertical entrance panel making for the most amount of interior room offered. The other design has a dramatic slope putting your head or your feet within inches of the tent door surface when laying down. Additionally this tent has a nice high roofline. The extra head room is complimented by a "net' shelf at the top for placing lights that may not have hanging provisions ... nice little bonus feature. Design - The biggest plus of this particular truck bed tent is that its completely enclosed. The bed area is not left open meaning the tent will keep out bugs, dust/dirt and have some degree better temperature insulation in just keeping the cold air from blowing in. Having had the competitive product without the interior liner, I can say that with the liner as this tent has, is the only way to go. The other floorless design was marketed as faster to set-up but the process after the first attempt for both was about the same. Initial First time set-up: 34 mins Second time set-up: 15 mins This trip was a success with this product and it worked on the application as advertised and survived 30-40 mph gusts in 30 degree F weather with some snow flurries without any issues. Happy Camper here. Criticisms and Suggestions - While I don't mind branding, the Napier logo on the rain fly is too big and obnoxious. I would not even take a picture of it. - Functionality is great but it could use a little help in the aesthetic design and color choices. - Make a premium model with better insulation / thicker materials / upgraded zippers.

Excellent
I recommend it 100%! It's super great, easy to assemble without much complication, very spacious, it has places to put lamps, and it's not too low, which is what we liked most.

Great Material and Easy Set up
Best money I spent on a tent so far. Year one down. Used it 4 times for camping trips that lasted 3 or more days and it was great. A steal if you ask me.

Fantastic tent overall
2021 GMC Canyon 6’ box. Fantastic tent, exactly as described. Took a little longer than I was hoping for to set up, and there is room for improvement on the design, but it appears to be good quality. To the manufacturer: consider getting rid of the fabric tunnels that the poles go through, and instead use a single ring in the center of the tent where the poles cross, and more pole clips. Also, use a higher quality buckle for the rain fly securement. Pros: All the seams appear to be very well stitched and waterproof. The fitment is good, and the design allows for a huge amount of headroom inside. The door hanging over the tailgate allows room for storage of belongings, even with a truck bed air mattress inflated. The tarp bottom is very durable, and I have no doubt it will hold up well. Nice features such as protective fabric behind the buckles to keep them from scratching the paint. The vent at the peak, pocket storage, lantern hook in the peak, and gear hammock in the peak are nice touches. Cons: Total of 4 fiberglass rods makes setup a little cumbersome. Feeding the rods through the fabric tunnels is a bad design, as the sections of the rod get caught on the openings of the fabric. The rain fly doesn’t stand out from the windows, so there is little to no air circulation when the fly is on. The buckles that connect the rain fly to the tent are very hard to operate. I work in construction and have strong hands, and still struggled to get a couple of them undone. The loops that go around the tailgate were difficult to thread through, as I had to hold the tailgate at an angle to get them through the gap, then reach under and try to pull them through a narrow space. Bottom line, I will be keeping the tent, and would purchase it again. I think it’s a very good value for the money.
