The book was in great condition and had the dust jacket and arrived promptly. I will buy from this seller again!

There is little about Soichiro Honda, who really built Honda motor corporation literally from scratch, available here in the USA. Lots about the various Fords, GM CEOs and of course Lee Iacocca. But the man who built Honda from a maker of piston rings to the incredible conglomerate that is Honda of today didn't really have a good biography that I could find. This book really was a wonderful overview of his life, times and the creation of the Honda culture. I learned that the Honda culture is much more open than many conglomerates and that employees are encouraged to respectfully challenge leaders. Most unusual, and a key to understanding the Honda growth. If you want to learn about Mr Honda, or his company this book really opens the door to let you peer inside. For a gearhead it was a hard book to put down.

somewhat disappointing read. subject matter is good but covers too many deatils that don't seem to matter to the subject.

Amazing fact and detail. It finally all makes sense now.

This is an amazing story! I completely recommend this book as it is a must read for any Honda fan!

You might not like car, you might not like honda's but you will love this human history and the many lessons on relationship and business management very interesting read

This is a good book for anyone interested in how Honda grew into the biggest engine manufacture in the world. It decribes how they grew from a motorcycle manufacture to cars, boats and aircraft engines. Overall great book.

Honda Motor Company is about a post-world war small motorcycle shop that demonstrated entrepreneurship and balanced technology and business management to advance. Going deep in describing the company's practices and the technology and management behind the company, Sato described how this company became what it is, and what prohibited the company from advanced even further. I would say that I learned more about business from this book than from some college courses.

Interesting book on the development of the Honda motorbike and car empire and the various people who figure in its development from an obscure Japanese engineering firm into the worldwide company of today. Unfortunately it does seem quite hard work reading it, but I will persevere.
