Right now, we have very tiny ticks. So, we've only used the curved, tiny, pointed-end tweezers. Those are far better than conventional tweezers at removing very small ticks. Also much better than trying to remove them by hand.One instrument looks like it'll work great for gently prying large ticks off people and dogs.Don't know how effective the instrument with angled tweezers at each end will be.

I have the little keychain tick key which I've used for years, plus this set. I keep the tick key in my backpack and have this set at home, and hadn't needed to use it until last week. Holy cow, it blows the tick key out of the water! These are great quality, nice and hefty - not flimsy at all. I also appreciated the variety of tools which allow you to tackle even the most determined tiny tick. As an avid hiker living in the mid-Atlantic who's gotten Lyme's twice now, I will never leave home without one of these sets stashed away.

Great tick removers at a great price. I hate ticks and the damage they do to an animal. I used these 5 times in about a month with total success and minimal discomfort to my dog. They come in a nice case too.

These are basic, but have sharp, well aligned points. They grip well and don't slip. Good value. Useful. I'm going to buy another set.

The tick removal set of tools appears to made very well-no signs of poorly finished or unfinished working parts.They are well packaged and provided with a storage case.I haven't used them yet, but they appear to be made with American quality in mind.

Bought this for myself, later realized it was labeled for cats and dogs. Haven't used it to remove a tick yet, but believe it should work well.
