PRIMOGrills Thermometer for Primo Ceramic Grills - Now 200% Larger and Ability to Calibrate

I like the size of this Thermometer and it was easy to install after drilling a larger mounting hole to make it fit my Primo Round Kamado Grill . 3/8" Masonry drill bit worked great . Really nice upgrade for my older grill . Temperature gauge was a little bit off but it was easy to adjust with a small Flathead screwdriver . Now I can read the Dome temperature and see how hot it is . I highly recommend it for anyone needing a new Thermometer for their Primo Ceramic Kamado grills . Drilling a 3/8" larger hole to accommodate the new Thermometer will not void the Primo Ceramic Grills warranty . The newer grills already have the larger Temperature gauge upgrade .

This product replaced our old temperature gauge on our 10 year old primo smoker. I love the larger size and readability of temperature. I haven't used it on the smoker but have tested tge accuracy with boiling water and ice cubes. It is on the money. I read that others have had difficulty installing it because the probe is larger than the older gauge, but my husband is a handyman wizard and it took seconds to enlarge the hole. So for us it was a great purchase. If you can't use a drill, you'll have to find someone to help you.

Works great. Large numbers are easier to read than the original. If you have the original size thermometer you will need to enlarge the hole with a 3/8 inch concrete drill bit. This was very easy to do. Make sure you drill with the slow speed of your drill. Easy to install and is more stable than the original.

I have an older Primo Jr and my thermometer got water in it and was hard to read. This one is much larger and much easier to read. I did have to drill a 3/8” hole and it only took about 2 minutes to install. Definitely would recommend upgrading if you have the old thermometer.

The thermometer works well so far and I like that it has such a large face, long stem and seemingly good mounting hardware. So, the product itself is fine. Where I marked the review down was for not disclosing that the thermometer does not fit many Primo grills! I have an oval Primo XL, so never had a thought that the thermometer would not fit properly. I disliked having to drill the hole out larger, as, even though this is not a big job, I was worried it would create small cracks around the ceramic coating. Plus, if I was ever obliged to change to another thermometer, the hole would then be a bit too large unless I got the same thermometer again. When my old Primo Thermometer failed, I borrowed one from a Big Green Egg, which fits perfectly, without drilling, something Primo should have thought about.

Not as advertised. I got an original replacement but not the larger size nor one that could be calibrated. And the price, compared to other sources, has shipping built into it. Also came in a USPS plastic envelope, not in a protective box. Fortunately it works.
