I got this as a gag gift and after a good laugh my dear mother said it'd be best to return it because she would never wear it. Well I decided it was worth getting some more giggles out of and kept it to wear around my neighborhood. Somewhere along the way I actually started to love the dang thing. Want to grill in the rain? No problem. Are you going to miss the perfect picture because you don't want to get your phone wet? Not with this bad boy. Do you want to be sizzling in the sun at your kid's next soccer game or have your own little shade oasis and still be able to cart all your kids stuff around with a spare hand for a cooler? You know you want to be the only soccer mom with her make-up still intact and all the pep, not looking like you just left a funeral because the sweat is running down your face faster than those kids run for orange slices after the game. You might get a weird look or two at first, but if you can just hang in there by the end of that game will be the envy of every sunburned sucker drinking 200° Gatorade. In all honesty, the hat is the same size as a normal umbrella so a lot of people don't notice it's a hat until you are the only parent left clapping since the sun hasn't drained you within an inch of your life. Rain or shine this is a go-to head-turner. I never thought that people would be asking me "Where can I get a hat like that?", when I bought it for shifts and giggles. Just don't wear it in high winds unless you are trying to make it big on America's Funniest Videos because you will look like you're a few crumbs short of a biscuit fighting this umbrella hat as it yanks you around by your cranium. If only my mom knew what she was missing.

I was hoping that this product was going to be Large, but lightweight headgear for me while out in the garden. It is a bit too heavy to wear for more than 10-15 minutes in my case. The head strap becomes uncomfortable when 1. you put it on and 2. if you keep it on. It could use a bit of padding. If a person is going to wear the REDSWING 37" headgear with the strap uncomfortable; it will scrape your forehead as your head wobbles from the weight, thus increasing the friction. Yes, I did return this item. I will shop for a smaller diameter umbrella shade hat as I like the overall design of this product and the concept of having elevated shade on your head for air flow to keep it cool.

This is a great quality umbrella hat & it provides just the right amount of coverage if you're moving around taking pictures at a sporting event! Gone are the days of having to have someone else by to hold a regular umbrella over me & my camera. The adjustable string for under the chin works well, but the hat will move around quite a bit in heavier winds & is not as functional in those conditions. Nevertheless, I love this umbrella hat for typical rainy conditions!

I bought this in 2022 and I'm still using it!!! I am now buying another one from this same company. The silver coating on the old one is just starting to wear off I have used this a lot over the past 3 spring, summer through fall seasons and it's still in sturdy condition. I can't be in the sun. I get heat stroke symptoms really quick and I love to work in the garden and landscape, just be outdoors. I used to have to setup a huge beach umbrella with a dolly (hand truck) to move the umbrella as I worked in the yard/garden. Since I got this umbrella hat I can freely work outside. The 37" keeps the sun off of me. It has been a wonderful blessing. I had to put a pin in the head strap to make it smaller. I put my hair up in a top bun and it allows the head band section to fit better. It is a bit awkward at first but once you get used to it and the freedom to be outdoors you just get accustomed to the minor things that aren't perfect. What do we want it's a large umbrella on our heads. If it's windy I secure the chin strap . If winds are really strong without stopping then it can be a challenge but an occasional wind is just a bump in the road - hold onto it until it passes. :-) I am grateful for the possibility of getting another one. Worth every penny!

Novelty product. Awkward to open. Tight slider. Not liking this.

I truly expected it to blow off my head easily. Because of the top piece venting the wind, it does not. It has enabled me to work outside and stay much cooler. I recommend this product. 👌

One of the metal bracket came unattached, I had to sew it back to the headband before I could try it on. The headband only had one piece of elastic, and it was not tight for my head. The worst part is the draw string cord - it was too flat and didn't generate enough friction to be held tight by the spring loaded button. When there is a breeze, the entire umbrella flew off my head. I had to hold it with my hands while walking. This beats the purpose of the entire "wear it on your head" thing. Back to use my parasol.
