Star Trek Shipyards Star Trek Starships: 2151-2293 The Encyclopedia of Starfleet Ships Plus Collectible

Despite the title I have given to this review I feel it necessary to mention all the good aspects about this product.First of the all, the delivery, artwork and condition of the Shipyards (hardcover) book is amazing. There are chapters on the Phoenix, the NX-01, the classic NCC-1701, the NCC-1701-A and much more. Basically this book covers ships from First Contact all the way to the latter half of the 23rd century (the Enterprise B as seen Generations, is the final entry). The next book to follow in this series explores all of the 24th century ships. I'm especially looking forward to its release, as I'm more of a TNG, DS9 and Voyager fan!Most of the information/graphics in this book are recycled sections from Eaglemoss's magazine run from the Official Star Trek Starships Collection. Thus this book becomes invaluable to those who don't want to subscribe to the biggest collection of Star Trek ships ever! Unfortunately there are no sections on concept art or images from the art department (these are featured in separate Eaglemoss/HerCollector editions), this book only covers cannon and in-universe information. This really is a beatifully designed and well presented book. I would highly recommend it to any and all Star Trek fans!With that being said the small U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 model is very disappointing. There are paint marks, misaligned windows, scratches and worst of all the saucer section is very unevenly attached to the secondary hull and the port nacelle is crooked. I have collected about 1/6 of the ships from the Star Trek Starships Collection since 2013 and I have never come across such an awfully constructed model.I returned my original order and made a second only to find the latter was far worse than the first. I would advise fans to just buy the book separately and get either the Running Press Enterprise or buy a Diamond Select Toys version.I really don't like giving bad reviews but I feel that reproducing the CLASSIC Enterprise in such a poor way is a huge insult to Star Trek fans.

Albeit a reproduction of the Eaglemoss magazine material, the book is hardbound and organised well. Like many others, I purchased this book for the model included. I've been searching for the Eaglemoss TOS Enterprise model for months, and to find it new for £23 was a very pleasant surprise - especially since I am yet to find a second-hand model for anything less than £50 online.There's not too much to say about the model itself, it's standard Eaglemoss quality, about twelve centimetres in diameter, however unlike other models it features an entirely die-cast saucer. That being said however, the saucer is slightly askew by about 3-4°. Usually I'd accept this as an anomalous mistake, but having purchased many of these models in the past; I am aware that it's a reoccurring issue with the manufacturer.

Die Schiffe werden gut dargestellt und man liest einiges um die Geschichte des Schiffes sowie der Besatzung. Es ist schön einen Überblick zu bekommen, da die Schiffe natürlich aus den verschiedenen Serien stammen.Jedoch werden die einzelne Geschichten oft wiederholt, manchmal 2 oder gar 3 Mal. Wie Fans wissen, gibt es mehrere sehr interessante Personen pro Schiff. Hier werden aber nur über Einzelnen erzählt und meiner Meinung nach fehlt es hier an wichtigen Details, interessante Ereignisse oder Geschichten über anderen wichtigen Personen.Insgesamt war ich etwas enttäuscht, aber auch am Ende habe ich etwas was es sonst nicht gibt und am Ende ist das Buch doch immer noch interessant.

Un livre bien élustré, les histoires sur les vaisseaux imcroyablement détailler. Acompagnié de l'entreprise, eaglemost a fait de bon travaux sur la construction de cet item.
