Petrodex toothpaste is part of my cat, Marty McFly's, regular grooming routine. He loves the malt flavor and I've never seen any build up on his teeth. It lasts a very long time depending on how often you groom or use the toothpaste. It doesn't even matter if you brush your cat's teeth, as long as you get the toothpaste in their mouth the enzymes will go to work and do their job.

Cat Owners, I recently purchased this dental kit, because my cat has bad breath, and I wanted to keep my cat’s teeth healthy. It comes with a toothpaste, toothbrush, and finger guard/brush. I came up with three categories that the paste had to perform in in order to meet my expectations. The first is cleanliness. The toothpaste did quite well in this aspect, as all plaque and tartar buildup on my cat’s teeth disappeared. This is arguably the most important feature of the toothpaste, considering it was made specifically for a cat’s dental health. My cat is showing no signs of dental discomfort, even when using the toothbrush, and his teeth look healthier than ever. Next is the ability to freshen my cat’s breath. Before using this toothpaste, my cat’s breath was rancid. It was to the point that if he were cleaning himself, he couldn’t be anywhere near me, as I couldn’t stand his death breath. The toothpaste has a malt scent, which isn’t as fresh as I’d hoped, but overall it did make his breath fresher, ultimately alleviating his bad breath. Now he can bathe himself wherever he pleases, without causing an awful stench. Lastly was my cat’s enjoyment of the product. Milo enjoyed the taste of the paste, as I let him lick it before hand in order to acclimate him to the experience. I’ve been able to brush his teeth a few times now, without a fuss. The toothbrush is soft-bristled and catered to his small mouth, so it doesn’t hurt his gums or teeth, which is extremely important to his comfort and health. While every cat is different, Milo enjoyed having his teeth brushed, and I didn’t even have to use the finger guard. Verdict Overall, the products included in this kit did their job as advertised. The toothbrush was ideal for brushing Milo’s teeth. The toothpaste cleaned his teeth, while freshening his breath, even if it wasn’t minty. The finger guard is a nice addition, even though I didn’t need to use it. The kit has everything you need for your cat’s hygiene, and is ideal for all cat owners out there. I recommend this product, and hope all of your cats have clean teeth and fresh breath! Happy brushing!

I love the malt flavor!! I've been using this brush and paste for a week now and it already has improved my cats tuna breath! I recommend you get the malt flavor!! The only downside to this product is that the finger toothbrush is a little hard and my cat did not like it her mouth, but other than that this product is amazing!

My cat loves the malt flavor, but the toothbrushes are just too big To preface I have been working with my cat for two weeks almost every day, a couple times a day, to get him used to brushing. You may have better luck but it depends on the patience and sensitivity of the cat. He believes the paste is a treat and is eager for it, but the brush (small end) is just too large for his mouth. I recommend to the seller to make or alter the current brush to have a much, much smaller and flatter brush head because cats (at least in my experience) are sensitive in the cheek parts of their mouths and it can make them gag/protrude their tongue from the discomfort or from opening their mouth too wide. The fingertip option is also pretty big but if I hold his head firmly I might have better luck. My cat is picky with food but generally not so much with treats. At first he didn't seem to care for the paste but warmed up to it and seeks it out, for those who have picky cats. The paste also pretty much smells like nothing, which is nice as well

I've learned since adopting my cat that many owners neglect to regularly brush their cat's teeth, which leads to more health problems down the road. This product makes it super easy to keep my kitty healthy and with shiny teeth. I've found it to be gentle enough where he doesn't get upset, but it took him a bit to adjust to it. Overall, I would recommend this to any cat owner!

Really good for cat teeth

Bought this after my Cat went for her first ever cleaning and had to have 3 teeth removed :( I don't want that to happen again so I decided to start brushing her teeth. I'm very lucky to have a chill cat (her name is Cat) but I'm surprised at how much she doesn't hate when I brush her teeth! She must like the flavor of the toothpaste (malt). I read that the toothpaste does more work than the toothbrush in cats which is good because it's hard to really get in their mouth and brush like you would your own teeth. I will update as time goes on but hopefully next year at the vet she won't have any bad teeth or maybe she won't even need a professional cleaning, we'll see!

This is a great kit to get if your cat has bad gums. The vet recently told me my kitten had a form of gingivitis that has nothing to do with age - more genetic. His top left gums were very red and raw. I immediately went online and checked out pet toothbrushes and tooth paste. I got this kit and my kitten's teeth are now totally pink and healthy after 2 weeks of daily brushing. He likes having his teeth brushed now since he loves the taste of this tooth paste. It is Malt flavored. This saved my kitten from having to have his teeth cleaned by a vet and also from losing his teeth. I am so pleased with the results. I will now use every day since it helped him so much and is well worth the money!

My cat loves this toothpaste! He hates me cleaning his teeth and pulls away after I manage to gently clean a fang or two - but he quickly comes back for more due to the product’s tasty (and addictive?) properties. My technique is to lift his top lip and brush his front teeth (this takes a few goes to get everywhere methodically) and then stick the brush in a bit further and let him chew/clean his rear teeth. The long toothbrush is a great bonus and a necessary alternative to those little rubber finger puppets you usually get. It’s not until you pull back your cats lips that you realise how bloody scary their teeth are! Anyways ... regarding effectiveness, this is the best cat toothpaste I’ve used so far! My cat had a truly foul, pungent fishy breath, despite being on a dry food diet, that you would gag on every time he licked his fur while sat in your lap. After one week of daily use (yes ... I know it says 2-3 times per week), his breath is markedly improved - still not kissable, but then I’m not that way inclined anyway. It works! Yay!

Tiene un sabor que a mi perro le encanta, no notó que le ayude con el olor, no sé si es porque mi perro ya es grande, pero hace poco le hicieron una profilaxis así que tampoco puedo asegurar que ayude con el sarro.

El pedido llegó con retraso por el Covit19, el vendedor me dijo que esperara y me llegó sin problemas. Esperaba que el producto fuera como es, aunque el dedal es un poco grande, pero la pasta y el cepillo son adecuados, a mi gata no le ha parecido malo, le ha gustado el olor de la pasta, y el cepillo, se rasca con él los cachetes, pero todavía no la he cepillado como se debe xq no sé bien como hacerlo.

I’ve been using this toothpaste for the past few months and my cats have adapted quickly to it. They seem to enjoy the taste! The brush seems a little on the harder side so I don’t use it. Highly recommend the pack!
