SRW Sketch Collection: Vol. 01: Scott Robertson Paperback – July 15, 2014

I think that this collection of sketches is very inspiring to any concept artist. As much as I enjoy this book, I as an artist also stay away from them when I have to do my own work, because I need my art to stand on its own and not be influenced by any other work. But once in a long while i do go back and look through this work for inspiration.

Fun book of "roughs" by the master teacher. Fun to flip through, fun to see how he builds his drawings; perspective lines, ellipse degrees and much more.

Scotts work is excellent and very inspirational.

I've been looking to buy this book for several years now and haven't been able to find it anywhere. I have volume 2 (SRD) and really liked it. When I did finally find this first one (SRW), I was super happy and the bought it despite it being nearly 3x the cost of the vol 2. I was disappointed when I got it: it's roughly half the size of vol 2, and paperback (where vol 2 is hard cover). It's my own fault for making the assumption and paying attention, but I probably wouldn't have purchased it at this price if I had known the format.

Good book, next time color would be nice for the next installment.

This is a great book with loose concepts and control

Way smaller than I thought it would be for that price. Inkworks is by far the more inspired book if you're looking for something similar. Though I wish both had more text about what they are thinking.
