Really good magnifier. and with the powerful light, it makes reading any any lighting condition really easy. What more is there to say?

I am a home visiting Foot Health Practitioner and this LED magnifying glass as one of the most essential parts of my kit bag. It costs a bit more than other offerings on the market but it is true quality. The bright light and magnification range it gives me is perfect. If you are in the same or similar area of work I would highly recommend you buy one of these. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because it does not come in a bag and so there is a risk you could scratch the lens if you are not careful.

Wonderful!I don't have a vision impairment, but I bought this magnifier to look at things up close.It is very worthwhile learning about how magnification works before deciding on a suitable magnifying glass.The lens is typically small for this magnitude of magnification, so don't be surprised when the actual device looks smaller than you imagined upon delivery. It has a lens diameter about the size of a commemorative £5 coin.Don't let this fool you though...As the magnification power increases, it is necessary for the lens diameter to shrink so that objects can be brought into focus. Lenses work due to their curvature and thickness.For a single lens 10X magnifier to have a larger diameter would mean the objects toward the rim would not be in focus.Then, there is something called dioptre. This is the distance away from which the human eye is able to resolve (focus), and the greater the magnification the closer the lens must be to the eye and the object being viewed.This model has a dioptre of 38, so needs to be held approx 40mm from your eye.It works best if you find the most comfortable distance from your eye in this range, and then keeping it there while moving the object closer or further away.This can be done by moving the object, or moving your head while keeping the distance of the lens from the eye static. (I hold it steady against the side of my nose, leave the object on a table and bob my head up and down until the focus is right).10X magnification is huge, and most people do not require such power just to be able to read things.This glass is either for those with a more severe loss of sight, or for people who want to see things up really, really close.It has 2 detachable filters to change the hue of the LED light if you find the bulb too harsh.If you are looking for anything much beyond this kind of magnification, then a microscope is the next step.Like all things, quality costs more. Often a LOT more, but the price for this glass is very reasonable I feel.I am absolutely delighted with my purchase.

This illuminated magnifier is easy to use and does the job of allowing an elderly, partially-sighted person to read her mail. It is very well made and has not distortion. The person did, however, have trouble finding the on-off slider switch, which could have been made in a brighter colour. Apart from that, excellent.

My wife suffers from Macro Degeneration. Wet in one eye. Sight loss 100% and dry in the other. Sight loss 100% in the center but has peripheral vision still left.This is the only magnifier that will allow her to still read a book. Kindle book does not work for her eyes. Don't waste what little eyesight you still have on cheap inferior Chinese magnifiers sold in the UK. They are a total waste of money !. Equipped with this made in Germany magnifier and American Walkie - talkie we can go shopping in the largest of stores giving her total independence with this magnifier designed and created with poor eyesight in mind which allows her freedom for shopping and reading that she had lost. With it's super bright shielded LED light she can read the smallest of labels and prices. A pair of good quality AAA battery lasts about 3 weeks. Eschenbach Mobilux LED Illuminated 5x Pocket Hand Magnifier Price around £47.00.It might seem expensive but its cheap for what it does.

Phenomenally expensive for a magnifying glass with a light, but my father's eye condition means that he has to have a magnifier and this one is strongly recommended by its users.

Very nice quality, although the box it comes in isn't too robust. In the box are also 2 tinted covers for the LED light to aid reading.Unfortunately it's a bit too small for my mother to use as she has Macular Degeneration I also think that it might be just a bit too powerful. The search continues...

Excellent product, delivered before estimated time and great communication from the company in Germany

I bought them (7X and 10X) for my mother as a replacement for another of the same brand that broke after falling on the floor. She is 3 months short of her 100th birthday and has been using them for at least the last 20 years as she has macular degeneration and is almost blind. She is more than delighted.

I’m an Iridologist and light light scope gives a great, bright light and clear image. Batteries last long due to LED BULB
