This set of 4 liners fits my wire shelving unit (18" deep x 48" wide) perfectly! No need to trim or adjust these clear plastic shelve liners. The liners have one side that is flush, and the other has a slight texture to it. The 'clear' is what I would call 'opaque'.I wanted to use these as a desktop, stacking them as needed. While I find it would work OK for that when using 2 or more and maybe putting a  Duck Brand 280211 Non-Adhesive Solid Grip Easy Shelf Liner, 20-Inch x 8-Feet, Ultra-Fresh, Black  between the two (they are quite ridged when on the shelving unit), I bought a plexiglass shelf insert elsewhere which I think I'll be using instead.These liners are quite substantial, and I'm pleased with them. Despite this, I found several other options for this purpose in a rolled form at my local home improvement store (after purchasing these) which are just as good and easier on the budget.The Alera liners are clear which is attractive, but at one quarter the price, the non-clear product I found that can be cut to size would have been a better budgetary choice. I'm kind of kicking myself for not seeing it first!You will be getting a quality product if you choose these Alera plastic shelf liners, but recognize there are other less expensive options out there that look very nice and get the job done too. I would give this product five stars if I could get each of the four pieces for three dollars apiece versus the six I paid.

As most others have posted, these are not drop and go. Make sure you have a dremel tool or a sharp carpet knife as these a just a little too long to fit a standard 48x kitchen shelving unit. These are great for wired shelves. Items being stored stand straight or getting stuck between wires, now nothing falls between the wires. Doing great on handling the weight of kitchen accessories. Even though I love these I think they were a bit overprice maybe $10 cheaper would be reasonable.

Nice product kind of expensive. Very heavy plastic. You can easily take it and with a slight bend hold it out it's entire length. I'm having a hard time thinking of something of equal thickness to describe it but the best thing I can think of is if you had a plastic covered notebook or a plastic divider page in a binder that you would describe as extremely heavy duty and rigid... that's about it.

I've always hated that when you place things on a wire shelf it's somewhat of a balancing act if you want things straight and level. Also, these shelves don't work for small things at all. With these liners I feel like I have fully functional shelves that will hold anything. These liners are thick and fit the 48"x18" shelves you can buy at various locations (Costco, Lowes, etc.) perfectly. These are far superior to lining the shelves with the soft shelf lining products that you cut yourself.I do think it depends how you use your shelves whether or not you like these. I use one set of shelves as a pantry for canned and dried foods. I use another one for linens and bathroom items. The only negative is that they don't come in packs of 6 to match the number of shelves in most units.

I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $37 for 4 plastic sheets, but large plastic sheets are expensive anyhow and I wanted to get rid of the cardboard I was currently using.These easily fit my Sandusky wire shelving. Two minutes after opening the package, I installed them. They were shipped safely and remained flat in shipping.

Would have preferred they were sturdier plastic, but serve the purpose of freeing up wire shelves to store whatever one wishes.

Ordered this for a friend who was tired of things falling through her metal racks. Solved the problem.

This works very well and can easily be cut to size.
