a MUST for our kitchen. GET it, don't hesitate
This is the Most. Excellent. Veggie Peeler. Period. I am a chef and will never use any other peeler from now on, this peeler is that good. It's Sharp, Smooth, peels with minimal pressure - absulutely effortless. You'll see once you buy one for yourself. I actually bought a 2nd one to use when we travel, I like it that much! And I'm gushing, I realize. But it's that good, really.

4.5 year review | James Bond's Peeler
I've just received my second one.I lost the first one about 6 months ago.. no clue where it went, but I simply couldn't get used to the traditional peelers after having used this one for so many years! The way that this peeler looks and works is worth buying. Some James Bond type of gadgetry.Once you get used to it, it is the best peeler ever. It's tiny (~ 2" x 1.5" x 1/2") and extremely light.I'm a huge Victorinox fan. When I originally saw this some 4.5 years ago, I admit that I purchased it out of curiosity. I thought it would be a novelty kitchen item with little practical use.It took a couple of sessions to really get the hang of it. Once I did, DONE! HANDS DOWN, BEST PEELER EVER! After 4.5 years of regular use, as sharp as when I got it. With MINIMAL pressure, glide down the outer surface of fruit or veggie, and watch the skin peel off as if it were a sticker.

Works well, very sharp
Quick to get used to. Very sharp. Took the tip of my pinky off in a clean stroke. Lesson learned, don't leave my pinky sticking out past the object you're peeling. If I held the object like I'm holding this phone, I would've been all good. In that manner I could apply pressure direct to said object. I oiled mine up before use, so sap wouldn't stick to it. I was still able to grip it well. I was peeling ulu (breadfruit). I had some so build up under the blade area. Wiping with an oiled paper towel and it came right off. Very small and simple, but very effective. I bought another for my son in culinary school. I teach him to tuck his pinky.

Great quality, Super sharp.
I have only used this peeler a handful of times now, but the few times I have used it, it has worked great. Probably the most positive thing about this peeler is how ridiculously sharp it is. Virtually no effort is needed to peel vegetables. When this peeler arrived, I was somewhat surprised by how small it is. I don't know that I would count that against the product, but I guess I was expecting something a little bigger. The peeler does take a few uses to kind of get the hang of it, especially if you have never used one in this style (I hadn't). So at first I could only peel slowly until I had a better handle on its use.

Excellent ergonomics and results. Very sharp.
Effortless, zen peeling experience.Very Sharp. The first time I used this I was peeling 20lbs of potatoes for a holiday meal and went too fast and nicked the index finger of the other hand.. Ouch! The position in which you hold this reduces fatigue. I have bought most of the highly rated peelers and this is the best. Also does not cut too thickly. Just enough for potatoes carrots etc. Recommend highly but store carefully not just free-ranging in a drawer in which you must dig around to find it. Or use a fork or something to save your hands from a slice when digging it out of a drawer!

I don't mind peeling any more
This is the smoothest peeler I have ever had in my hands, and it takes off the thinnest peeling I have ever seen. It is a dream to use and there is no wasted product. It's easy to clean, and since the entire peeler is made of stainless steel, it's durable and rust free. Like all Swiss Army products, it is dependable. I gave these as Christmas gifts (part of a gift bag with another item) this year, and I'm considering them as birthday and housewarming gifts. Buy one for yourself and you'll see why this peeler is a superior kitchen tool.

Would be more practical for camping, backpacking etc
First of all, yes it does a good job of peeling potatoes, Carrots etc. Has a sharp blade. My biggest negative is the cost. I did not pay as much as it it retailing for now….I just don’t understand why it costs so much…there are plenty of potato peelers out there that will do the same job at one fifth the cost.

Ease of use
Watched one of those cooking vids on how to prep assorted fruits and veggies, and thought I need a new peeler. Bought this particular one on a lark and haven't looked back since using. Easy to use and clean, but very sharp so mind your digits. Find it easier to use than the old army potato peeler, and haven't nicked a knuckle either. Don't underestimate its small size, plenty of grip space and blade width to get the job done. Wash and dry when finished and it will outlast most of us.
