Great cage for Blue and Gold Macaw
This cage is well worth the money. It gives my bird a nice large area. The swing out feed bowls are great. It was easy to assemble but you do need 2 people to assemble the cage.

My Bird Likes His New Cage
I think this is a good cage for an Amazon, the bird I have, or any similar sized bird. Though the instructions are laughable, I had the cage together in under three hours using only a fillips screwdriver, an improvised stack of books, and a cup of coffee for inspiration. My bird, who had not spoken in the week since I'd got him instantly climbed in and said "Hi howya doing." I assume this is his way of proclaiming his happiness. If you are considering a small cage I can assure you the extra money goes a long way.I would question whether the bird-proof door locks would actually stand up to an inquisitive parrot. They seem a little cheep for this size cage and are the only reason I dinged it a star.

A sturdy, well-built and well-designed cage (with lousy assembly instructions LOL)
I spent dozens of hours researching cages for my Eclectus Parrot before settling on this one. The Prevue corner cage was WAY cheaper but it was clear from online reviews on several different sites that its quality was poor compared to this one. I haven't been disappointed by this cage. It's really solidly built. I wanted to maximize the use of space by putting this right up into the corner (I cut out two pieces of cardboard from the shipping boxes and spray-painted them with non-toxic matt black paint and hung them to outside of the two corner-facing sides of this cage to protect the walls). This required that I not use the two pieces of steel skirting that are designed to sit at the bottom of these two sides of the cage (to catch food and debris). The design is such that the remaining 4 pieces of skirting needed alternative attachment to the cage than the original simple gravity design so I drilled holes in the top front corners of each piece of skirting and through the adjacent piece of cage frame and then bolted a chrome "eye" to each of these holes and joined them with a short piece of black chain. The skirt is secure and functions just as it should. The slide-out trays and slide-out bottom grill are both so sold and heavy that they don't exactly glide out (but they function fine) and neither of the two bottom trays fit any standard lining paper that I could find (14 1/2" worked for the small one if I cut the right length and I just overlap two 14 1/2" widths for the larger tray (which is about 25" wide). As others have noted, the instructions are very meagre and I had to email A&E to find out what 3 small half-moon-shaped pieces of matching steel plate with attached bolts were for (they're a secondary catch for the door and for the slide-out grilles to prevent a very strong bird from overcoming the weight of the grille and pushing it out of the bottom of the cage. I had an additional obstacle to position the cage right up to the corner as there is a floor radiator about 9" high at the base of one of the walls. I solved this problem by replacing the castor wheels of the cage with 18" high threaded steel bolts (threaded the same as the castor wheels to which I attached round 1" diameter flat-headed screw heads and cover these with self-adhesive felt furniture pads to protect the floor. I then covered the threaded steel bolts with black foam insulation (sold to insulate 1/2" copper water pipe) to give the legs a more robust appearance. I then attached the cage at 4 points to each of the two walls, for added stability. Now, I have the perfect corner cage!

great product
A&E cages are great. Packaged well, no damaged, even came with some cardboard spacers to hold panels apart to stop damage that were perfect for a bird toy. :)
