I had a 5 way bypass operation years ago and the beta blocker I am on causes phlegm to be a problem. I coughed hard enough to cause the beginning of a hernia. I read about his NAC and it works by increasing the natural amount of this in your lungs without causing any irritation to the heart. I take 3 a day and have almost lost the cough. Only one time a day now and the hernia pressure is 90% gone and no surgery. Wish doctors knew about this stuff. I will be buying this and will make it part of my medical regime from now on.
