D'Addario Accessories Leather Guitar Strap

Amazon has taken to deleting my negative reviews when i tell the truth. It takes away weight of when i give things good reviews.. If youre expecting anything other than a top grain 3/16 guitar strap dyed black you are going to be disappointed.. BUT THE VALUE for less than 20 bucks and they sold you a strap that would literally last 20 years. that is hard to find. you constantly get sold "leather" on here and 2 years later it pulls apart and its foleather.. this is a piece of tanned cow hide... dont buy them all .. i want more before they figure out they sold a quality product and try take the cowhide out of it to make it a pos so you have to buy a new one every 2 years.

You can't get more basic than this strap. Black, no image, no imprint; just a strap that will holdyour guitar without fuss or fanfare.This strap is 2-1/2 inches wide and 3/32 of an inch thick. The strap is 4" longer than a normalstrap length, so for you tall ones it will work well. I am 6 foot tall, without shoes, and the straplength fits nicely and allows me room to drop the guitar below my waist if I wanted to do so.If you have a rather heavy guitar, say over 8 pounds, you should try this wide strap. It can helpdistribute the guitar's weight and provide more comfort over a longer period of time. Your mileagemay vary.It is shiny smooth on one side and rough on the other side. The rough side helps keep your guitarfrom slipping around. If you like your guitar to slip do not buy this strap. This leather strap easilytakes Dunlop Dual Design Straploks without a problem. I was able to install them with very littleeffort.I've had this strap on my 2008 Les Paul Gibson Standard (weighs about 7-1/2 lbs.) for about threeyears and it has not torn, cracked, split or stretched in any way. Of course I am not abusing it onlong tours or crazy antics. I play about one to one and half hours a day and it appears to beholding up nicely under those conditions.So I would give the strap 4 stars because it is a simple utilitarian strap that does the job it isdesigned to do, no more no less. Add a bit of fluffy softness to the underside of the strap andit might make those heavy guitars even more comfortable.UPDATE August 25, 2015: This strap is still doing well. No rips, tears, or stretching.

Nice but the leather doesn't look or smell like real leather. Maybe a simulated leather? Not sure but it is nice for the price. Still gets a five star rating because of price and ease of adjustments.

If its leather...I've never seen this type before. Feels and looks like plastic! Live in Hawaii so always in a tank top...so thin & stiff it cuts into my skin. Most likely going in the trash...had I not taken the tags off I would definitely return.Just wanted to add...this is the first time ive written a negative review! Not one to complain but feel that buyers should know beforehand!

Just started trying to learn guitar. The leather on this is very thick, no chance of it breaking any time soon. Well worth the price.

I prefer padded straps but I bought this because of the price. Not bad at all. It’s a little longer than what I wanted, even after adjusting it, but that’s a personal preference. I’m 6’1” tall. If you’re a short person, maybe look elsewhere.The width of the strap is perfect, it’s light and doesn’t feel cumbersome. The holes for the strap are really stiff compared to other straps I have. I had to do some cutting to get it to fit my strap locks, but that’s a minor inconvenience. Overall a decent strap.

I was a bit hesitant at first,knowing that what you see isn't always what you get when buying online, but boy, was I surpised. This geniune leather strap is easy to take off and put on,it fits my acoustic guitar just fine and I would be hard put to find anything to complain about
