FoxFarm FX14051 Peace of Mind Tomato and Vegetable Organic Fertilizer 7-4-5

My GardenI live in Phoenix, Arizona. I have a 17 x 4 foot raised garden box. I grow seasonal crops.This stuff is awesome! The first bag I received was a gift. I was skeptical at first. It sat for few before I decided to give it a go. I am happy that I did. My tomato harvest this year is far better then it was last year. I was averaging 4-5 pounds of cherry tomatoes a week.

If only this fertilizer came with actual frogs getting fat and happy from eating all the flies the fertilizer wrought. While this fertilizer probably did a good job of feeding the plants, it either arrived with fly eggs in it or instantly and strongly attracted swarms of the biggest flies in the neighborhood. I live in a dense urban area and applied this to potted plants in a cement back patio, not a farm. Within 24 hours of application, swarms of flies took over and it's been a nightmare to control them even a month later. I called Foxfarm and they swore they have never heard of this issue, but then I called multiple garden stores that sell it and they agreed that this fertilizer could cause such a problem. This fertilizer is totally not worth it! There are many other fertilizers out there that would not arrive with fly eggs or instantly cause a fly infestation. I have used others, even ones that smell much stronger, and never had this problem.

This stuff really works. Makes the plants happy, not sure about the frogs.
