It cuts very thin aluminum as advertised. It didn’t work well on plastic as one of the reviewers claimed.

Unfortunately they were not heavy duty enough to notch the aluminum channel I needed them for. For lighter work or pvc channel, they worked fine.

I’m so glad I found the tool, I’ve been looking in arts and crafts shops, unsuccessfully. I use it to make notches when framing my stain glass pieces.

Was not what I needed

This has worked perfect. We were looking for just the right tool for a project we were working on and this was it.

For cutting triangular edges, this is great. I am new to metalwork and part of me thinks there should be an easier way to do this with a tool that has more than one use, but if I am wrong, then this is the perfect solution!

If you need to make a perfect corner these are great. They easily cut through aluminum frames (possibly other materials too) making a clean and perfect notch that gives you clean and easy 90* angles. If you wanted to make a curve you could also do that with a series of these cuts. Though I have notched things out myself with a snipper I don't get as nice a line and this cuts in half the time because I have to cut one side then the other of the v shape and this cuts both sides at once. The cutter is a good weight and feels very sturdy and solid in my hands. It's grips are comfortable and so far this works quite well.
