Singer 54301 ProSeries Wax Clear

5 pieces for 6 bucks, delivered to my door. Can't beat that deal anywhere.

It falls apart when halfvused so I end up wasting a lot. I found it better to buy a bar if beeswax to run my cords/threads over..or theother stuff sold for conditioning these.

I ordered this on June 11, so I probably received it within a few days. It's just July 5 today, so I've had it less than a month and one mini container is already in the garbage.First, I want to say that the tiny size (a little bigger than a bobbin) and getting a pack of 5 appealed to me. The small size will fit in any sewing or bead kit, unlike those big chunky blue containers of thread wax.I think this wax is dried out or old or something. What I received is not smooth wax disks like you see in the photo in the listing. The wax disks in these containers have rough edges, are crumbling, and the wax parts are smaller than what is shown. I expected the wax in each plastic holder to last longer than 22 days but the wax in the first one I was using broke in half today and then into about 8 little crumbly pieces. I'm pretty sure I'm using it correctly, but I believe this package has been sitting around the warehouse too long.Another complaint I have is that each container has been scotch taped back together. In addition, some of the scotch tape blocks the access slots used to condition the thread, and it looks tacky.Next time, I'm going to order from Thread Magic.

I love these tiny waxes. I have one in all my sewing kits. When the thread wears the wax down it’s no longer waxing your thread remove the tape off the plastic dispenser turn the circle wax wheel slightly so you have a good spot to use more wax. Then take a piece of scotch tape and tape it back closed. Doing it this way you can use almost all of the wax. Way less waste this way. But I love this way I don’t have to get wax on my fingers making it hard to pull my needle. I also love the plastic thing protects the wax from crumbling.

This wax makes sewing a breeze! It coats the thread so it doesn’t get knotted or tangled! I definitely recommend using this product! A little goes a long way!!! You’ll love it!!

I purchased two packages of these and the one I opened was dry. When I used the one package, the thread just makes it flake off, is very brittle, solid and the thread does not feel different. I even keep it in a small ziplock baggie. Picture one is one side and picture two is the other side.

The product was so dried out it crumbled as soon as I used it!
