Excellent product!
A very good product - well suited for daily camera use - not suitable for bigger lens on waste belt; can use on sack-shoulder strap.only one thing is we need to keep the allen key handy for fixing the mount.an excellent product it is.

"...instilled great confidence..."
Like all other Peak Design products I have tested so far the quality and engineering is top tier.Don't forget to go to their website and register the product for a lifetime warranty in turn. Now, I went with the silver version of the V3 capture clip. I would have probably gone with the black one to make it blend in with the body of my camera/strap of my bag, but looking at the pictures one looks painted (black) wheras the other looks like a solid material and I just did not want it to look scuffed/scratched down the line. I have not tested the black version so I do NOT know if this is actually the case but I am happy with my choice and neither clip nor mount stands out in any major way.As many others must have pointed out by now; it was with second (and third) thoughts and much care that I mounted my £5K to the small, American, startup-product with the quirky marketing. However, in the same instant the Peak Design Capture Clip V3 instilled great confidence and while I still (as per their instructions) check the tightness of the screws before I head out, I no longer think twice before attaching my gear to this all around perfect product. Top marks.

Accessible but secure
I wanted this for running and hiking with my Sony a6000 and I read the reviews carefully before ordering so thanks for those that helped there. First impressions are good and it feels pretty secure but easy to use. It has a solid click connection and just needs a bit of practice to get used to it. Me being me I have added extra security with a wrist strap secured through the chest strap of the rucksack and with a mini carabiner which can both stay on for shooting. Overkill, as it also has a lock on the release button. I have also added an elasticated velcro strap round the lens and shoulder strap, even though I'm not awful convinced it is needed but maybe for running but the strap can also secure a shower cap over the whole thing for a measure of shower protection. The extra lock on the black release button is easy to set but a bit awkward to release. I'm sure with practice it will be fine. The clip fits all three of my main rucksacks, contrary to reviews by others and that was without the longer Allen bolts. I have attached photos to get a rough idea of the sizes. It also fits my PD Sling bag. As a bonus the plate fits my tripod which I wasn't expecting. I tried it with a belt and that could be good walking about on holiday with no bag.Went for a walk with 55-210mm longer lens and it just feels right and obviously is very convenient when you want to shoot and because it is there and not in a rucksack pocket, more photo opportunities will be taken. You quickly get the knack of it and it does seem like a great device.Checked the screws after walking about for a couple of hours with multiple connections and releases of the camera and didn't seem to be any slackening. I'm considering leaving the base plate on more or less permanently.Impressed so far and yes initially feels like a fair bit of money. However, considering the value of a camera and lens, the security and the quality of the build it actually feels like good value and I think it will become a much prized accessory.

Good but expensive
I had a cheaper but similar acting clip that was fine for my lightweight mirrorless camera but I wanted something more secure for my DSLR.This works, does everything the advertising says and even though many YouTube landscape photographers get them for nothing as product placement, in this case their assumed liking for the product is well placed. It’s a lot lighter than I imagined. If a MkII with 90deg attaching to a strap ever comes out, I’ll buy another…That said, it is very expensive and some cheaper ones may be more than adequate.

Thicker arca plate is better if you have it.
Been using this for a while and pretty much have it attached to my bag strap most of the time now as it seems to most convenient.Using it also with the ProPad, fairly useless on belts but does help a little on bag straps.PositivesSturdy and secureThe lock is easy to operateGreat for mirrorless cameras, EOS R and RP with RF35/RF24-105 and Adapted EF 24-70F4NegativesNewer/Slimmer Arca plate is not optimal with this, if you have the larger/thicker plate then it just sits more stable and easier to get in and out.Do have sometimes issues sliding it into the slot, thicker plate helps.Wouldn't use this on lens larger than say 200mmBolts could be a little longer for thicker bag straps, the ones provided at just on the edgeLonger bolts require a allan key to tighten it

What did I expect?
Well, I bought this with some degree of scepticism and I am happy I was wrong. I hooked this up.to my camera and rucksack and set of on a 10 mile hike around the lakes. Not only did it hold well and also allow for easy access I actually forgot I was carrying the camera at one point. 😅I can honestly say is that this is well worth the money, I used it with d750 and 24 - 120 lens without any issue at all.
