Excellent reinforcement for a lock
To have an extra security and tamper a front door this is the part that you need

The bolts and nuts are very cheap.
The nuts are cap nuts. The bolts are super cheap that you can break very easily. Go to Lowes or HD and get some new carriage bolts that are strength rated. I also got large vender washers for the inside of the door.

The product is made well and provides that added security that I need. I really like how it helps also to provide a visual that the door is very secured.

Product Specifications
The item was exactly what I wanted but was unable to fit due to incomplete specifications. For my door needed the measurement between edge at doorknob to the edge of outside frame cover. My frame was a modified build.

Really Solid Feel
This was very solid served the purpose perfectly.Easy installation works as intended

Looks sturdy but bolts are weak
This appears to be a sturdy plate that's a little less than 1/8 inch thick with four bolt holes. It was easy to install, but am not sure the 1/4" bolts are hard enough. I had to cut two bolts shorter and they were rather easy to cut through. I am concerned that someone will try to pry if off and break the bolts. I may replace with hardened bolts and bigger washers.

Solid and heavy and made of reasonably thick steel for the application.
I ordered this to protect the latches/strikers of an outward swinging door from tampering. It seems to do the job well enough so far, but like any other lock, with enough dedication dishonest people can still get in. This steel reinforcement does help me sleep better at night knowing I've at least covered that vulnerability in my home security.

Only works with round door knob. Useless for my standard UK garage door.
