I got this for tacking small wires to a metal surface. With the small UV torch I bought (Alonefire SV94) it cures hard in well under a minute. Of course you have to use thin layers. It is quite runny anyway. I had to roughen the surface a little to get the resin to stick (anodised aluminium). Great product, I'm sure I can find lots of uses for it where I'd normally use epoxy or silicone.

As others have noted, this "anti yellowing" formula might yellow more slowly than some, but it definitely yellows substantially. I used some on the inner surface of a glass fibre bathtub that had a crack - the crack itself was fixed and reinforced from the back with epoxy putty, but I used a thin skin of this resin on the shiny inner surface to blend smoothly over the remaining evidence of a crack. Immediately after doing it, this was basically invisible, and smooth and hard to the touch. A couple of months later, it's straw-yellow. Yellowing aside, this stuff sets very convincingly with a reasonable power 365nm UV torch - I used one that came with some Australian lateral flow covid tests, I think it's about 5W. Others report that with the more common 390nm UV torches the resin remains tacky. For making small pseudo-enamel badges and the like, it might be an idea to anticipate the yellowing a bit when choosing colours. I assume it will yellow less quickly if kept out of sunlight - the above mentioned bath is beside a window so gets significant sunlight daily. It seems to adhere well to everything I've tried it on so far, it's of the same kind of consistency as maple syrup. I've given it four stars - I think it's excellent value and basically good resin but the amount of yellowing seems inconsistent with the "anti yellowing" description.

It is very easy to use even in situations where getting UV to it you'd think would be difficult. I've spent years wasting my time with over-hyped glues but this really does the job, and the top doesn't get stuck on which keeps me out of anger management classes. I bought a UV torch just to make sure it cures in the darker corners of my little house and seeing as I'm always breaking things it has taken a weight off my mind.

It's pretty straightforward forward to use but there are some negatives. 1. Smells very bad 2. Even with UV light held over it, resin remains sticky. The UV helped with making the layers but with the overall drying and solidifying, no. Left over night, was still sticky to the touch. Left on windowsill for 7 hours, checked every couple of hours, sticky to the touch. After 24 hours can I say it's dry, but seems to get sticky again when handled.

This resin is apparently intended for use in casting jewelry or craft decorations. I'm sure it is pretty good for that, but my intended use is for repairing things. Previously I have been impressed with the well-known Bondic UV resin. I would use that all the time were it not for the fact that it is supremely expensive. On Amazon it sells at about £2.50/g, which is expensive enough that I wound up buying some directly from the US manufacturer and paying import duty! There are cheaper repair resins, but they're not that much cheaper. In contrast, this resin comes in at 14p/g - quite a difference. So, does it work? All the tests I've done with it suggest it does. You can fill gaps, join things, protect things. It is great for quick fixes such as tacking modification wires to PCBs, or adding a smooth blob to sharp things. A typical example of that is where the earpiece falls off glasses and leaves a thin and sharp end which digs into your skin. Just dip it into this resin, show it UV from a torch, and a minute later your glasses can be worn again. A slight downside of this amount of product is that the dispenser is designed for squirting out lots of it, as would be expected if you're making rings and stuff. It is really difficult to pour out a small amount, and a toothpick might be a useful tool. A syringe would be ideal, except that being clear will cause the resin in it to harden eventually. Maybe some black electrician's tape might help.

I bought this resin to use for making microscope slides of insect anatomy. The bottle nozzle is the perfect size for dropping small amounts onto samples, and it remains liquid indefinitely, making repositioning cover slips and getting rid of bubbles very easy (which isn't an option with numount or simular mountants). It sets very quickly with a UV torch, making a nice hard finish, and any excess/overspill can be scraped away easily with a sharp blade. There's also no need to seal cover slips with nail polish afterwards! It does also set if left in bright sunlight, but this can take several hours, so make sure you leave the slides somewhere where they won't get disturbed if using this approach.
