Great product, easy fit for many face types and many options for alternate filter cartridges.
It's 3M, so I have absolutely no worries about the quality. I have used many of 3M's products, from the household we all have to more specialty products I've always been pleased. My concern was with sizing. I was hoping to use this both with painting and other chemicals I use in hobby work as well as for my mother who does her own pest control around her house. I'm not a large person, my mother is smaller still. I was concerned whether the Medium would fit. From what I've read researching the product, 3M assumes Medium will fit 90% of people and small and large for the people that have problems fitting equipment. Since this is for something more critical than work gloves or a hard hat I was worried. The medium fit perfectly, I'm a very skinny guy and my mother has a rounder face than I do but this fit perfectly. It took some getting used to to be comfortable on the bridge of the nose while still holding an airtight fit but the folded rubber seal was both much more comfortable than I thought it would be as well as very forgiving on fit.I wear glasses but didn't have any problem wearing them and the respirator nor with the safety glasses I ordered with this (also 3M, the Maxim Safety Splash Goggle). No chance on getting the expensive test they sell to verify it was perfect, but even in a closed room with spray paint, pesticide or other chemicals I can't smell a thing and have no issues from prolonged exposure.Make sure you get the right filters for the job. I chose 3M because the quality and wide variety of filters for different hazards which are compatible with this mask. They sell them all over Amazon and plenty of other specialty websites. Also, it comes with 2 dust covers. Those are the little white pads that look kind of like dust masks. They're packaged inside the clear plastic tops of the filter. The filter itself is the gray cartridge that attaches to the mask and you only need to use one of the white pads in each. Those are for fine particulates (like dust) while the cartridge does the important work. For some reason it never really touches on that in the voluminous instructions.I was very pleased with this respirator. It's performed exactly as advertised and honorable mention to the ease and quickness with which it can be fitted onto a variety of faces by the easy to use pull ties. They can be a tad annoying since they're still in your field of view but I found it easy to overlook.

Works great for a car mechanic that likes clean breathing during dirty jobs.
I got this for my job as an auto tech to keep nasty stuff out of my sinuses and lungs when I'm running a die grinder on rusty stuff or for engine surface prep work or cleaning aluminum oxidation off of rim beads when doing tires and it works great for all of that. Also comes in handy when you get a car you have to get in that has biohazard levels of stank going on in it. Works great for my purposes. Seems to completely filter out the nasty stuff I want to keep out of my sinuses and lungs as well as the occasional nasty smelling car. The only small issue I have is the bottom strap, while providing good fit, tightness, and comfort after it's on, has a rubber segment that can pull on the hairs at the back of my neck when putting it on. Not a big deal, especially given the price. I'd highly recommend it to any car mechanic since it's relatively cheap and overkill levels of effective.

Excellent respirator with cheap replacement components.
I have been using this respirator to renovate my 90 year old house here in the northeast and it works as described. The mask has a comfortable silicone face gasket, the filter is two stage, meaning it has a particulate filter on top of the organic vapor filter so you don't breathe anything but clean air. It has a cool air valve in the front of the mask so you are not sweating like crazy in it. I have found one thing about the mask, it does build up condensation when using it in cold weather applications like I am. So occasionally you will breathe out through the mask and droplets of water will come out with your breath, not a big deal but worth noting if you use it in the cold weather like I do.They sell a kit that replaces the particulate filters on it and the organic vapor cartridges for a cheap price. The kit I ordered gives you 4 particulate pre-filters and 2 organic vapor cartridges for around $15, that's is a good deal, if you are buying separately most of the time it will cost you more money.Excellent mask if you are tired of the cheap disposable jock strap looking filters. I can also attest to the fact that the mask will stop paint smell and fumes too. I have also tested there ability to stop the smell of the solvents I use at my job (I am a mechanic) such as mineral spirits and ether. I have used it to replace insulation in my attic, which is an itchy and filthy job, and it worked flawlessly. My advice would be if you use this mask to buy extra pre-filter N95 particulate filters if you are not going to buy the kit I described before because the pre-filters get very dirty when doing a filthy job like replacing insulation in your attic. The dirtier the job the more you need to replace the filters...
