The sound is clear, and the controls are simple enough for a 4–6-year-old to use on their own. She picked it up quickly with no trouble at all.The bright colors are fun and easy to spot, which is great when they inevitably get dropped in the grass or left on a bench. The battery life has also held up well during long play sessions.Overall, these walkie talkies strike the perfect balance between being fun for kids and reassuring for parents. Not the greatest quality. I had to add a piece of aluminum foil between the contact and battery as the battery was too loose in the housing. They also eat batteries like crazy. They are for my 8 and 6 year old kids and they are fairly harsh on them...but a higher quality item may actually last longer. We shall see how long these last as I don't have high expectations...but the price was pretty low so I had to give it a try. I probably would not buy again though once these do go out (or get lost)

I had my granddaughter on my lap a couple days ago and decided to type in on Amazon "Things for little girls" Immediately her eyes lit up. Quickly pointing to several items. The next day she came down with the flu. I told my wife to send little Demri 4 years old a gift. This was her #1 choice. When she got it, her eyes lit up that she got a package from Amazon. When she opened it, a huge smile broke out. Just a few minutes earlier she had tears in eyes from being sick. Thank you, Amazon, for the one-day delivery. A huge blessing.

The quality of these is amazing. Super durable and easy to use. The range must be great because it picks up someone else's walkie talkie in our neighborhood. The battery life is long. The price is great too. My only complaint is that the clip is flimsy so it broke off each walkie talkie almost instantly.
