Always works and no streaks. Even when it says 0% remaining that often means it's only about 60% used up...keep going until there's no more blue on prints and then replace.

took me a while to figure out that this is the one to buy, better late than never. tried a couple of generic sets because the whole set was less than just one oem cartridge. generic results were acceptable but both times one or several of the cartridges would start to leak making a mess inside the printer drawer and then printouts had splotchy remenants of the spilled colors. OK, accepted that the oem was going to give the superior and reliable results and coming from an inkjet it was still overall less expensive and better quality, so I paid up and got the regular size 054 for about $75. But then the light bulb illuminated in my head and I realized that the 054H was roughly $20 more but had twice the page prints...duh for that extra $20 upfront I would save $55 compared to buying another $75 054. Not ever going back to generics after doing a thorough cleaning of my printer.

OEM ink and toner may cost a little more but they are worth the extra money as they always work and not cause problems.

What's there to say: the genuine cartridges out-perform the "compatibles" every time. After buying a compatible cartridge that leaked all over the interior compartment of my laser printer. I learned my lesson. These are expensive, but worth the peace of mind that they will work and not damage my printer. Shipments are always FAST; always next day.

I have learned to only use OEM cartridges in my laser printer. Little more expensive, but I’ve had a lot of damage to my printer with offbrands.

The original black toner cartridge that came with the printer, as expected, was not long for this world. This is a never ending frustration with all printer brands, someone had the bright idea, hey, let's ship all our printers with the suggestion of a cartridge so we can have them start replacing it almost instantly. It became an industry standard, like eliminating a real spare tire from the new car you just bought with a small donut thing that is just enough to get you to a garage driving at 10 miles an hour when you get that unexpected shard in the real tire. Anyway, I thought I might save a few dollars so bought a non-Canon ink replacement on Amazon. I felt like a genius, until my print quality looked like a whisper or a shadow and was almost unreadable. So just a few weeks later after light use, I needed to buy a genuine replacement cartridge. I opted for the high capacity one since it translates into a bit of a savings and the inconvenient down time of buying another cartridge. The prints are crisp and dark as they should be and I learned a lesson, at least when using Canon. I am not affiliated with Canon in any way, but whether they have programmed their chips to only recognize genuine Canon replacement toner and so only operate properly with them or not, just spend the extra money and avoid waste and frustration in the long run.

This was the right product for my printer. I have not installed it yet. Waiting until I need it.

The original cartridge is worth the extra cost. We tried two off brand cartridges and each of them ended up with ink streaks on the edges of the printed documents. We had to change them and toss them without getting our full moneys worth of use. The original replacement cartridges have not leaked or streaked. The colors are consistent. The documents are prestine.
