1/1/21 - NAYAHOSE Natural Teak Wood Kitchen Utensils Set I went a little crazy Black Friday and purchased 3 wooden utensil sets. The other 2 sets were made from Bamboo, so perhaps that accounts for the drastic difference in quality. This set by Nayahose was the absolute best by far. I received this set very quickly, before the other two. The color was so dark, I was sure it had been stained. I read about finishes & stains and in the U.S. toxic chemicals aren't used, so they are supposed to be safe on wood used for food contact. However, in the current state of "Globalization," who's to say where the finishing products came from. So, I started sanding. To my surprise, the finish was NATURAL! There was no stain and no clear coat finish (varnish, etc.)! The sheen was the natural glow of the wood and it was beautiful. Since I had already started sanding, I went through the process of different grits of sand paper, finishing with 1000 grit. This gave the utensils a little more of a silky smooth feel. I oiled them and waxed them and they are absolutely beautiful. I would also like to note that of the three sets, these were, by far, the best in quality. The other utensils had mars in the wood--some what deep veining and rough textures around knots in the wood. These did not. The veining was straight and event and very well finished even before I started sanding. Wooden utensils are far superior to plastic, silicone. I found this set in teak to be much better than the two I purchased in bamboo. I would definitely consider the Nayahose brand, first, if & when I need wooden utensils or want to purchase them as a gift.

These stylish wooden cooking utensils replace my plastic ones at an affordable price. The color is not as deep brown as it appears in the photos, but it’s still nice.

1/12/25 update. My spatula cracked already in the middle. That's upsetting. I only hand wash them and don't leave soaking in water. I don't have a dishwasher so they definitely air dry and i didn't leave it in the pan, as you shouldn't do that with any utensils so i don't know why it cracked. I just got these a few weeks ago. I'll be contacting the seller to see about an exchange. I love them and this is disappointing. These work great! They are durable and the variety has met my cooking needs thus far! I highly recommend.

I've recently starting apartment shopping and that's given me all the reason I need to indulge my "kitchen utensil sweet tooth" as some may call it. I'm picky when it comes to the products I buy. I tend to read review after review and try to be as confident in a product as I can be prior to "adding to cart" and submitting my order. This set initially stood out because of how they looked in the photos and wasn't disappointed when I got my set. They're beautiful! I love wood utensils and it's a plus they're easy on stainless steel pots & pans. I'm not a big fan of kitchen clutter so the 2 spatulas, slotted spoon, and ladle are great basic essentials that I'll be able to use for almost everything. The are two things that I wish were a little different though. First - I wish the ladle was a bit larger. The size of it is decent but I'll definitely be purchasing a larger one to make life easier when it comes to soups and stews. Second - I'll also be purchasing a separate larger/flatter spatula (probably silicone). I'm not quite sure the ones in the set would be the best options for pancakes or other things that need that "perfect flip."

Perfect sizes and the lips that allow the spoon to stay on the side of the pot is awesome!!

Happy with the depth of the large ladle. Good for soup, chili, etc, Length could be a little longer.

They are nice looking and good for its use. Unfortunately since the end part of handle is metal, on of them, after a few washes ( by hand) have unglued. So something to think about before purchasing

Handles fell off. Hooks inside handle sleeve. Looks like bits of other products used.
