Classic that doesn’t disappoint
My husband wanted this for Christmas and he’s used it almost nonstop since he received it. Loves it!!

Fun low tech nostalgia
Good addition to my growing old school handheld electronic gaming collection. It does play slightly different than the 1970s era original, some of the sounds are a little different different and that’s not all bad - like a net swooshing sound when you make a basket instead of a two-tone beep. The “clicky-ness” of the buttons are a little less satisfying than the original if that makes sense (softer buttons without that click you get with a bi-metallic strip), but it is close enough to bring me joy while playing this little guy. Good for burning 5 minutes or so while waiting around. Has the ability to mute the sound that I don’t remember the original having, so it has that going for it. Now if I could just find one of those red led pulsar watches at a decent price...

Grandkids live these
These handheld games appear to be great fun to my grandchildren. They are also inexpensive!

Not really a 1-Player game.
Product description is misleading; it’s really a “pass-and-play” 2-Player game. It can technically be played by 1 Player by making shots from both home and away teams—that’s the “1 Player” mode. Still a fun little retro handheld game with fun sounds, solid build and challenging play.

Both types are very similar but I like the screen view of the Mattel better
I have three of these in addition to two Mattel classic versions. Both types are very similar but I like the screen view of the Mattel better. I play with the sound off so that I don't disturb others but the clicking of the buttons is too loud.Almost all my baskets are at a 45 degree angle for three pointers. It's difficult to get any other type of shots. Many young kids don't seem to like this retro type of electronic game. When I was a kid, I thought these games were the coolest thing.

Nice Game and Well Made
I am glad to see these type games making a comeback. This is a nice one and well-constructed. I like the silent option, and I like the idea that it is portable and can be taken in the car, etc. The 13 year old I purchased it for has a younger brother and 2 player option lets them play together which is nice.It does come with batteries and they were fine, but I always purchase additional batteries for products that include batteries because you never know how old the batteries are.

Es el mismo producto que usabamos en los 80
Se espera que sea tan bueno como los primeros
