I must say that these cashews are incredibly fresh and I've never gotten a bad order from this company. If you normally get canned nut mixes you may not think these are even cashews because when nuts are extremely fresh they taste quite different. They are lightly salted but I believe there is an unsalted version for those who have to avoid sodium. I usually just shake a cup or so in a container and a small amount of the salt comes off making them perfect to my taste.HINTSince this is a fairly large amount of a single kind of nuts I vacuum seal several packages of a cup or two and refrigerate those to keep them as fresh as possible. You can also use a zip bag and immerse it mostly in water to get a lot of the air out.
