A soil test indicated I needed iron and sulfur to bring down the Ph
I finally broke down and had a complete soil test done. I live in a desert area and I knew the Ph was going to be high. Like 8.2! So sulfur was indicated to try to bring down the Ph level. I understand it is better to put in a high amount in the winter when you have no crops in the ground, so it has a number of months (with hopefully some rain) to activate the sulfur and let it flow down through the soil. But I had crops to get in, so I decided to use it judiciously so not to burn the roots of the crops. Plus, the soil test also indicated I was low on iron. So this seemed like the perfect solution. I don't know why they call it Dr. Iron as it is mostly sulfur. 55% sulfur and 22% iron. I put in only about 1/4 of the amount suggested in my soil test results, again, because I didn't want to burn the roots of my crops. Wow, everything looks so happy and deep green! I plan to put it in heavier this winter where I will allow the soil to rest. And if it doesn't rain, I will have to water it in.But this seems like a great solution for people who live in the desert where the Ph of soils tends to be too high and iron is lacking.

Expensive stuff but I guess it does the trick.
I was told I needed this to combat St. Augustine fungus. This along with Anti-fungus and good fertililzer did the trick 2 yrs ago but now came back.... Guess i'm stuck using this all the time.

Organic iron- new favorite
I had a time trying to find organic iron that wasn’t liquid. I only use organic for my fruit trees and fruit shrubs. I used to use espoma iron tone but they discontinued it. I bought this to try and it is working great. My lemon tree is no longer turning yellow. I think I will continue to buy this. I live in Florida , the soil has a low iron continent so I have to supplement the iron or my fruit trees and shrubs look like they are going to die.
