Great Strings for beginner Violin
After a year of play, and a broken string, these made the instrument sound like new!

Teacher happy with these strings
Purchased these strings to replace a broken A string (Legacy, perlon core) that didn't hold up well, the ball end broke off. Decided to try steel core to see if the string would have more staying power and last for more than a month of violin playing an hour a week. The price was right for a begining student to learn on. And the extra strings are kept in the case for future string breaks. Here is what I have discovered, it took me awhile to figure this out. Skip the strings that have perlon or other synthetic cores with early students while they are learning to adjust and tune the sting instrument. Tuning is an art. Later, as the student becomes more familiar and experienced then invest in the pricier and better strings. I learned this because I purchased the less expensive steel type strings for my child's cello, and they lasted! The 3/4 and 4/4 violin perlon and synthetic core I usually purchased weren't as hardy when first getting acquainted with the violin. So I have decided to test the difference on the violin, and so far so good. The sound is acceptable, especially for the price!

Great for fixing beginners fiddles
Works great for beginners 3/4 sized and a 4/4 sized beginners fiddles. I can't hear a tonal difference for concerts vs our just good enough for fun.

Good replacement strings
THese strings are a great replacement for my daughters violin. She is an intermediate player, and seems to break her strings frequently. This isn't the best sounding ones we have had, but the best quality and sound for the price for a young player.

Excellent student strings
Excellent workmanship. Easy to put on and tune. Sounds great, richer, and NOT scratchy like the Red Label. A definite upgrade from the Mandini MV range violin factory strings. I compared this set to a Red Label Super Sensitive Steelcore, installed both of them on two violins, each violin was installed with both sets of strings for comparison, and the the Prelude won inevery aspect I mentioned above.
