Look Poor Quality. Looks Are Misleading!
Don't be worried by the looks of these plants when you get them. The roots are brown and straggly, the leaves are brown and withered. I put them in a shallow soup bowl with some water; so that just the bottom 2 inches or so of root was submerged, after receiving them. I fully intended to leave them this way for 2 hours, then plant, as advised. But life happens and I've now had them for over a week without planting. I change the water daily and every 3rd day add a few drops of seaweed feed. The plants are healthy, beautiful and thriving. Those withered brown leaves are bright green, the stems are thick and strong. I guess they are being kept in a hydroponics situation....and they love it! This review is for the strawberry varieties: Red Gauntlet/ Flamenco/ Sweetheart/ Honeoye. And I fully intend try some of the sellers other varieties now too!

Good healthy plants
Was a bit dubious about ordering these as have only ever spent a lot more from a garden centre before.... but I needn't have worried. I must admit, when I saw the package, I was a little concerned as to the condition they may be in but on opening, I found good healthy plants with just a few leaves broken off, so I soaked them for a few hours and then got them planted up. Photos show day of delivery, which was within 3 days of ordering by the way, and how they are today. Can't fault at all, only thing left is to hope I chose a good variety. I was looking for Sweet Eve but couldn't find them so went for these ones instead

Good plants easy to grow
All of mine grew and are growing well. Gardeners Dream sent more than I ordered and these survived too. I ordered another variety from same supplier too which didn't grow, supplier has been helpful and customer service is excellent. The plants are dormant but may start to grow during delivery process, they do look brown and shrivelled but should still grow well once either planted or grown on hydroponic ally.

Waiting to see how they grow
I ordered 20 of these plants and they arrived 3 days earlier than expected. They are earmarked for my allotment but I couldn’t get to plant them for a few days. I was concerned they would be completely dead when I opened them. Not to worry, there was actually 26 plants in the box. They looked a bit worse for wear but soon perked up when left in some water. I planted them 3 days ago and they all appear to be growing ok. Reserving judgment on the star rating as it’s still early to see if they take properly. Didn’t stop me ordering another 20 though!! UPDATE 12 months later and had a great tasty crop

Poor plants & awful customer service
Bought 3 different varieties from these people last September. Followed the rehydration and planting instructions to the letter. I had expected them to spark into life in the last month or so. Checked them a couple of days ago, just fit fot the compost heap. Asked the seller for their thoughts and was told that they were not prepared to help. Very disappointed.

Excellent plants
No idea yet how these plants will get on but I was impressed by them. Often in the past I’ve had bare root strawberries which have had their tops completely chopped off and you’re presented with a plastic bag containing a jumble of anonymous roots which take ages to disentangle. Not so these; sturdy little plants with a very good root system and very easy to separate. Just hope the eventual crop will be equally impressive!
