I am a long legged 5'10" and these shorts hit just at the knee which is what I wanted. I don't think short shorts belong on men. In addition to the two zippered side pockets, there is a back pocket with a velcro closure. Had the pockets been a bit deeper I would have awarded five stars. The drawstring of a thick, flat cotton has knotted ends--a thoughtful touch for those who have had drawstrings lost in their channel. I chose an emergency, high visibility orange for the color which is manly though flashy for some.

Seem like solid shorts, the bottom is much less refined than the images would indicate. There are three lines of stitching to keep it from coming totally undone but the bottom edge is fairly raw and will shed a fair amount (at least at first, no idea what they will be like in a year). Totally suitable for exercising or mowing the grass.

Its too LOOSE All Around for a "LARGE", and compared to other equivalent brands in LARGE.I got several colors, and the fit is inconsistent, unfortunately and each leaning on largely loose.I wish i had ordered Medium in this, in spite of every other brand i order Large.Otherwise, if not for the "baggy" fit, it wud be perfect in terms of price, quality and finishing.
