Kaffe Quilts Again: 20 Favorite Quilts in New Colorways from Rowan

I would have liked the directions to have included rotary cutting.
The photography is exceptional!!! The quilts are very inspiring and I love the way that Kaffe Fassett uses color. The directions could have been better written, in my opinion, as many people that quilt do use a rotary cutter and not templates for squares and rectangles, so I would have liked the directions to have included cutting directions for this method as well~ I took off two stars for this reason alone. Otherwise, I would rate this book as five stars.

Kaffe Fassett Rides Again!
This book contains reproductions of quilts designed by Kaffe Fassett, Liza Prior Lucy, Pauline Smith, Roberta Horton, Brandon Mably and Mary Mashuta in some of the previous books compiled by Fassett. From Kaffe Fassett's Country Garden Quilts , we have the S Block, Star Bouquet and Chintz designs; from Kaffe Fassett's Quilts in the Sun: 20 Designs from Rowan for Patchwork and Quilting there are two versions of the Frames quilt and a new version of the Chelsea quilt called Summer Chelsea. There are new versions of Blue Star, Big Bang and Pastel Gridlock hailing from Kaffe Fassetts Caravan of Quilts (Patchwork & Quilting Book 6)]; Chevrons, Romantic Rosy, African Huts, My Fair Lady and All Season Garden from [[ASIN:1904485405 Kaffe Fassett's Quilt Road: Patchwork and Quilting, Book Number 7 and Cutting Corners and Two Up and Two Down from Kaffe Fassett's Quilt Romance: 20 Designs from Rowan for Patchwork and Quilting (Patchwork and Quilting) . A mix of fabrics by Fassett, Mably and Jacobs has been used and some of them are no longer generally available at big sites online, including the Glorious Color website that is run by Liza Prior Lucy. But for the most part substitutions can be made. Indeed, that is one of the things to learn from this book--how to use what is at hand rather than being locked into the need for a particular fabric. The quilt photographs were shot in rural Bulgaria. The book includes templates, cutting instructions and assembly diagrams as well as the dimensions of the finished quilts. For the most part, the patterns are for sewers at the beginning or intermediate level, with the exception of quilts like Big Bang, which is composed 100% out of diamonds (look out for all those bias edges and use lots of starch on the fabric to keep them from stretching). As in other Fassett books, the stars are the fabrics, which are gorgeous and lush; they make the relatively easy patchwork patterns shine. Highly recommended for all quilting levels. (The errors in formatting for this revieware not mine--they show up no matter what I do.)

The incomparable Kaffe
This book has many different patterns in it and are easy to follow. I love his colors and the feel of his cotton. So soft. They are so unique looking I always get comments. This particular books is wonderful because he brings back his old favorites so you are able to see the original quilts then the same pattern done again in another set of fabrics.Fabulous.

A soon to be Kaffe favorite!
Kaffe Fassette takes some of his older quilts and does them again. In fabulous new colors. Then presents them in a wonderful country setting. His artistry is enchanting, and he offers patterns for every quilt in the book. This is a ' no regrets' purchase on a market that is choked with quilting books.

Kaffe Fasset’s Again 20 Favorite Quilts
Such a beautiful book

Book has attractive pictures used to sell his fabric line. Nice pictures to look at.
Once again, the quilt pictures are great, but the books are just to show and sell Kaffe's fabrics. If you make his quilts with other fabrics, your results will probably disappoint you.

Gorgeous
As always a book of beautiful photographs of color, pattern, and texture. However so many of his books look the same. He is truly a very gifted person.

Lovely book
I just love this book. It's my first Kaffe quilt book and I was blown away by the simplicity of designs used to show off the beautiful fabrics. Many of the designs are very straightforward and can be adapted for other fabrics so you don't need access to Kaffe fabrics to use the book.

A lovely book for all to have a go at.
I am late coming to appreciate Kaffe Fassett's quilts. I now have a lot of his books and this is another great one. Lots of colourful and interesting quilts to make. Suitable for quilters of all abilities. Don't be scared of having a go if you are new to quilting, they are not as difficult as they look and are very well described and illustrated.

Another book by Kaffe Fassett
The book is full of stunning and beautiful ideas for quilts. Everything is well illustrated and well set out. There are so many ideas that I would want to try. The fabrics, as always, are colourful and vibrant. There is something for everyone.
