Buyer Beware
I'm not sure in which world this is considered a book. It's a magazine. Of the 85 pages, it only has about 12 pages of text that share the page with photos, so in essence you're getting a magazine with not-so-great resolution photos that you could easily find on the Internet, and in terms of word count, about 5 pages worth of actual text, which makes the Amazon summary of the author giving an "extensive introductory history" a rather spurious claim. On the other hand, there's not much else out there in terms of availability of Pinku material, so if you're really hankering to possess anything from this genre, you might spring for it. Knowing what I know now, though, I wouldn't have purchased it. This should be billed as a photo magazine. It's not a book.

A Taste Of The Pink(y)
Very slim (84 pages) volume devoted to the 'delinquent girls' cycle of Japanese exploitation films usually made by Toei studios from roughly 1970 to 1976 and usually starring either Reiko Ike or Miki Sugimoto or both though Meiko Kaji and Reiko Ushida did also appear in a run of these movies. With banner titles 'Girl Boss', 'Delinquent Girl Boss' 'Female Prisoner Scorpion' these movies were a heady mixture of violence and sex and very often ran as a series of movies although the stories were not like a serial and run consecutively. Book contains a brief history of this brand of exploitation movie and lots of very nice stills and rare publicity shots all in glorious colour. Bring on volume 2.

produit interressant
