Patience and Practice helps when using these paints
Paints work great! The colors are brilliant! They can be hard to use and gum up. I suggest using small amounts on the pallet to begin with. These paints are good for advanced painting use. I also use an acrylic medium for mixing (Golden Acrylic Glazing Liquid satin) . Layering is also key. You are going to be doing that a lot. Takes some practice but thinning out the paint with water helps during the painting process.

worth the cost!!!
I Tried all other oils like reeves and Windsor newton and found very thick and not flowing..i couldnt mix colors without using a medium. As i paint straight from the tube i wasnt able to mix colors with such a thick oils. Halobein oils are a great relief!! i started loving them more each day but the cost is higher comparatively. yet worth the cost !!!

Worth Trying
Thought I'd try water soluble oil paints for a change so I bought this set. One online site recommended this brand. It's nice to be able to thin oils with water versus a solvent but I've discovered I prefer a thick application of this paint rather than watering it down with water. So why use oils if you're going to thin it with water? Gouache, acrylics, or watercolors basically achieve the same effect without these two problems: This paint does not entirely wash out of a brush with water. An oily residue is left behind. I used soapy brush cleaner and that helped to clean the brush better but not completely. Also I've discovered I prefer paint that dries quickly. This paint takes a few days to dry so, as a left hander, I kept dragging the side of my hand though wet paint, also I could not immediately paint on top of fresh paint without running the risk of mixing the two colors and making mud. I guess these water soluble oils are great if you are used to painting with oils and just want to avoid solvents for clean up.

This is my first experience with that media, drying ...
This is my first experience with that media, drying time is faster if you combine fast drying media. there's not too many books on that topic yet try to buy some Darrell Crow videos but the site is hacked, some third parties want to ransom you. Overall the paintings look more oily.

I paint with acrylic paint and thought this would be an easy transition, but it was not for me
I found it thick and so hard to work with. I paint with acrylic paint and thought this would be an easy transition, but it was not for me.
