Do not be put off by that ‘arthritis‘ reference....Yes, this firefighter-type lever is very easy to use and extremely versatile, but this nozzle is also the most powerful, long-throw power nozzle I’ve ever used. It’s so easy to adjust, I find I can stand in one place and increase flow to hit something 20 feet away, in a powerful stream, or stop it down to a light shower for a delicate plant at my feet. I’m a senior, and I love to sit in one comfy place and water a huge area of my garden without moving. Just adjust the distance and the spray, and I can easily cover anything up to 20 or more feet away. I got one for my 50-something neighbor, and he loves it, too. No need to walk right up to something to water it.....amazing throw! The advantage, I’ve read, is in the “straight line” water flow....you’ll observe this is not pistol-shaped, but a straight-run nozzle with no bend to inhibit water flow. You will be amazed at how much water pressure you get with this nozzle.

Was looking for a second Nelson (fireman style) nozzle and saw this model discounted on Amazon because it was a return and decided to give it a try. This model works better than the Nelson for watering plants as it produces a more gentle & diffuse water stream. For patio and driveway cleaning, the Nelson produces a stronger and more focused stream of water for removing dirt and bird droppings. Also, these axial nozzles where the water comes out the end are much easier to deal with than pistol grip nozzles when used with stiff hoses as you can point the nozzle in any direction by bending the hose instead of twisting the hose!

I read all the reviews before buying this, as I am sure you too are doing if you are reading this. Many of them talk about the low flow rate, heavy-ness, or not being able to spay a long way. I have normal water pressure at my house. (between 60-80psi) and am using this on a 3/4 inch 100 foot hose. The very first time I used it I was skeptical about the water flow, it doesn't feel like it is putting out much. But I have been watering my plants all summer with a cheaper one from H.D. and quickly noticed that the amount of water collecting at the base was substantially greater. This thing will really pump out a lot of water, and it doesn't really feel like it is. You can twist the end of it to adjust to a long spray versus the soaking closer spray. It will really shoot a long way! much farther than if i hold my thumb over the end of the hose. The weight and size are not an issue.. I don't notice that it is heavy, but it certainly isn't a light weight cheap thing, which is exactly what I was after. I am very pleased with this purchase, and will order another if/when the time comes. We live in Phoenix and the sun is brutal on things here, they usually don't hold up well. I have had this for several months now and it is doing fine so far.

Bought a few others before. They were red and worked good. Time to replace them cause the sun beat up the plastic. I bought this one and the stream not as good and multiple turns to adjust the stream from fog to straight. The last one I was able to go from one end to the other within 1 turn. Other than that it’s ok.

I like the fireman's nozzle lever very much. Easy to turn on and off. Sturdy built and easy to use. However, the jet spray is very very weak. It was advertised as having a strong jet spray with a video showing the same. The main reason I purchased this model was for the ease of turning on and off and the jet spray. I tried to find the strongest spray on the nozzle and it was very disappointing. My old cheap nozzle was difficult to turn on and off, but it had a great jet spray and made cleaning my small patio a breeze. If it weren't for the very weak jet spray and the poor response from seller, I would have given this 5 stars.I contacted the seller in hopes of finding out if there was a part to install to increase jet or helpful hint. The Seller suggested that I have poor water pressure in my home. (The water pressure throughout my home is great and my old nozzle had a strong jet.) They also suggested I "Buy an electric power washer." and closed their email with "Have a good time."
