Looks beautiful, nice addition to a fire pit right ? Nope, this glass starts popping and shattering soon as it gets hot, sending sharp pieces of glass flying out of the fire pit hitting people and scattering glass fragments all over out patio. Do not buy for a gas fire pit...

Received my fireglass today; packaged in a plain nondescript but sturdy bag inside the Amazon box. After washing they sparkled and reflected beautifully.Pros:- color was as described and displayed.- price was reasonable especially when compared to some of the fancier competition products- reflective side of fireglass “rocks” present a almost mirrored finish as described especially after washing as others have recommended.Con:- individual fireglass “rocks” were MUCH smaller than I expected. Most (easily over 50% I estimate) of the fireglass is between 1/4”-3/8” in size. There are a few in the 1/2” size- the edges are rather sharp, with a lot of points- seemed to be more shards of small glass that I expected

I recently got a gas fire pit and I wanted to get some fire glass for both aesthetics and purpose as tempered fire glass also absorbs heat and radiates it. Amazon had many choices and colors with really good prices compared to local brick-mortar big box home improvement stores. You will have to rinse the glass before use as they come out the bag really dusty and to weed out all the really tiny fragments. I'm particular about glass fragmentation ending up in the sanitary sewer pipes so I ended up putting a plastic colander on top of a 5 gallon bucket and used a hose to wash off the glass. This way I can drain the water onto my lawn and leave the fragments to dry so I can put in the trash.When they are clean they really sparkle but again you will have to manage your expectations as the glass fragments will range from 1/4" to 1/2". I was able to use about 90% of what was in the bag. I laid this beautiful blue glass on top of a bed of 10 lbs obsidian dragon glass (also from Amazon) to really make the blue pop.3.5* for now - I've fired up the fire pit twice and the blue stays blue and doesn't turn black or crack...I lowered the score due to inconsistent sizing. For comparison, the black dragon glass (shown in photo) was advertised as 1/2" and they were consistent in sizing from 1/2" to 5/8" Thanks again!

Love this glass! One bag was enough for a large 3 ft rectangle fire pit table and a smaller circle one. Looks just as good, abit larger pieces, then the Dragon Glass you would buy at Home Depot or Lowes. However, it's $15+ cheaper for 5 more lbs. My ONLY complaint is there was a lot of "glass dust" at the bottom of the bag which got all over my firepit and dulled the shininess of the glass. Kind of sucks I didn't know about this sooner as I would have washed the glass off first. I was able to dig the top layer out and do this but took over an hour. Give it a washing before you put it in your pit and you will love it!

Received item in a thick paper bag. No label or instructions. Opened it and poured the glass onto the firepit...Oh No. In addition to the glass nuggets were thousands of tiny shards and splinters everywhere on throught the glass stones and splattered about the rim and floor. Yes, it is glass, but I had no idea in advance that there would be tiny shattered pieces of sharp and dangerous glass shards, some likely created during shipping/handling. OMG, it was nerve-racking to sweep up and vacuum as much of these pieces as possible. Some were so tiny had to utlize light reflection to see them.

Love the cobalt blue fire pit glass! The product came in a bag and there is some dust on the glass, so you will want to rinse and dry the glass before putting it in the fire pit. I poured the rock into a large plastic bowl filled with water for rinsing and used a slotted spoon to get the rock out of the water and onto a towel for air drying. There will be small pieces of glass remaining in the water, so you will need to find a place to dump the water out (do not empty the water into your drain because it will have glass pieces in it that will go down your drain.) I’m sure there is a better way to rinse the rock, but this worked for me. The glass looks amazing in the fire pit whether it is lit or not. Would definitely recommend this seller, as the price was the best I have found.

Can't say enough about these! Really dresses up our fire pit, compared to the ugly lava rocks that came with the unit. The reflective side shimmers beautifully.Delivered on-time and well packed.Thanks!

The media could not be loaded.  I can’t say enough about how much I love this glass in my propane fire pit. It is beautiful when it’s lit and when it’s not. I ordered 20 lbs as recommended but probably only used half that amount.

Excellent quality for our fire table. The pieces were all of uniform size and quality. It is just broken glass (Fire rated) that shimmers beautifully and love the deep blue colour it provides.I used 3/4 of bag and was more than enough to overfill the Table (more than this covered the flame and needed to remove) There is lots left over for top ups if ever needed. The glass is a big improvement from the lava rock we had and really upgrades the table. We have run this for hours on end and have no issues with glass popping or any concerns what so ever. This seemed to be one of the better deals on Amazon and glad we made this purchase and would recommend this. I spent several hours reading reviews and comparing products and feel this research paid off !Hope this review helps !
