I nearly didn't order this, because of the few negative reviews, but it is fantastic. I think the complains must be from people who are using it as a fishing rod or something!? It isn't supposed to fish out clumps of leaves and debris, it is to skim the surface. Hence the name 'pool skimmer'.I had actually planned on changing the pole, especially when it arrived, but my OH put it together and said it should be fine (note* he put it together because he has to interfere, NOT because I am incapable of clicking a few poles together 🙄 It is simple to put together!). It is all you need to remove that surface stuff like feathers, fabric fibres, flies and bugs, hair, the odd leaves and petals, but also micro things that you can barely see, which is what I wanted it for. It feels strong enough to glide over the surface, but not to heavy to hold. I can do it with one hand, so very lightweight, because these days my bingo wings can't lift much more than a few feathers and some dust, so if I don't get arm ache the nest day, it's gotta be a winner. My mum is 81 with the usual jazz that comes with old age and she can use it. And it is blue, which suits her unfortunate late on-set Conservative views.The actual mesh is fused in between the blue frame, if you get my drift (pun intended). See pics. You can see a small bit still sticking out on the outerside and those small lines are where (I assume) a heated type machine has melted it together. I don't know, I don't work for them and always think too much about these things, but anyway... if you are anything like me and scour the Internet to save an extra 56p but still want good quality and value, then buy it.Of course, if it fails in 12 months, I shall be sure to do a full Karen, get a refund and update my review.You are welcome, have a nice day 👋💦

Very happy with this product it’s arrived next day delivery it was easy to assemble and has worked really well for our 12 foot pool every happy and incredibly good value for money

A great replacement for my old net ,just one criticism, the pole has too many parts and is not sturdy when put together but the net is great

Okay for the hot tub find it can be alittle flimsy but it's okay for the money does the job
