Great aquarium glass cleaner!
The media could not be loaded. Love this handy little gadget! Great magnetic that cleans the tank very well! It does take a couple of passes but our tank it sparkly clear now! I bought the smaller size and it works perfectly for our 150 gallon tank. I turned the job over to my teenage daughter and she pulled up a chair and went to work! She really looked like she was enjoying herself!

Marginal cleaning - Good magnetic grip.
I began using this product right away when I got it. I bought the small sized version.I have moderate amounts of brown diatoms growing on my tank walls and plants. I intend to use it with a Fluval Flex 15 gallon tank and originally intended to leave it hanging in the tank between uses. The first thing I noticed is that it has a pretty good grip on the glass tank walls. The Fluval Flex glass tank I have has straight up and down sides. The back is a wall dividing it's built-in sump chambers from the rest of the tank, so no magnet can can be used there as I can't get my hand into that area.. So I will still need to clean that with a foam block on a stick. The sides are perfect for these magnets as they are easy for both parts of this cleaner to tranverse. The front is a bowfront that is curved vertically instead of the usual horizontal. Didn't cause any problems for these magnetic cleaner halves as the tool stuck down to the glass inside and out just as well.I greatly prefer the closed loop little handle on this. It made holding a firm grip on it less necessary. With other such magnetic cleaners I've owned, they just have a plastic tab to hang onto. Can't tell you how many times I've first dropped those outer magnet halves then the inner ones fall 6 inches from the glass inside and I have to get my hands and arms wet anyway retrieving the sinking half. This magnetic cleaner has no such problem. The handle on this is a closed loop so completely surrounds your fingers. Much nicer to maintain a grip. But even if you do accidentally detach the outside part from the tank wall, it remains on your fingers and the inner part floats up to the tank surface. Retrieving it is often as easy as just putting the outer magnet back on the glass wall and the inner part floats over and reattaches. Ready to clean again. Also the shape of the inner half is well rounded and can be gently pushed behind plants or ornaments without harming them.Be careful though when and where you reattach the halves. Sometimes the two parts come together quite quickly with a snap when one half is in the in water and moving fast to reconnect with the outside half. Make sure no fish or snails or plants are near to get snapped between them. They could squash a shrimp or small snail and injure or kill small fish. Most of the time the fish will hate you cleaning with this cleaner anyway and will stay far away from it. Most of my fish are sure this horrible thing moving in their tank, is a predator who will eat them. But I also have happy go lucky fish like my Kuhli Loaches that would run into a fan blade just to see what it is. So be sure to keep your tank life away from it as you clean. Plants that get snapped can be broken or cut by it. So slow down as you clean next to plants. When outside the tank, the two parts stay together by the magnetic force between them. You can even hang the thing on a hook to air dry after use because of it's closed loop handle. Makes storage nice and simple. Now the one reason I took two stars off the rating... The velvet side that glides over your glass can clean off light water spots and fingerprint smudges on the outside. It's soft velvet like material is unlikely to break your glass. But the inside cleaner uses tiny little plastic loops of material meant to scrape off algae and such. I find it doesn't scrape off anything very well. As I mentioned above I get brown diatoms growing in my tank as I like to have the tank lit for too long. But brown diatoms algae is easy to clean generally. It's just a light swipe of almost any material and it comes off and goes into the water, then my UV filter light in my sump kills it. Even a swipe of my finger can clean it off. But this cleaner doesn't clean anything well including these brown diatoms. I have the inside magnet move back and forth over and over the stuff on the glass. I could see it made a few tracks through it but just won't clean it. It doesn't have enough surface material down on the glass to get it. So all the other positives that make me like it are negated by the fact it just didn't clean well at all. It needed something other than the little plastic loops they put on it.As an experiment, I attached a thin sponge cloth to the inside between the hooks and glass with a rubber band. The cleaning was far better with the cloth attached. So I then took the cloth off and put a piece of slightly abrasive sponge on. It then cleaned great. So be prepared to put your own cleaning material on the inside half if you want it to actually clean the glass walls. If you are using this on acrylic tanks, be sure to not use abrasive material as acrylic scratches easily. The company making this needs to put a better cleaning material on this than the sparsely placed plastic loops they use now. Those loops just don't clean well. And what I also noticed is the stuff it does clean off stays stuck in those little loops when removed from the tank. Cleaning it out of the loops is difficult at best. If you left this in the tank water, no doubt the stuff you cleaned off will start growing on the cleaner. Again, using your own cloth material means you can just throw out the cloth or sponge when it's too dirty and replace it with cheap materials.Overall, I like this little cleaner, once I figured out how to use my own DIY cleaner pads on it to make it actually clean like it should. But as is, this won't clean well till you modify it.

Would buy again.
Its a strong hold. Almost 3 inches off the glass and it still grips. I like this product, it also did not scratch my Topfin 10 G aquarium. I would buy again. I got the small.

Works exactly as intended
Works perfectly. The material on the external portion of the scrubber feels like felt. I have a second piece of felt that I place in between the handle and glass for additional protection and cleaning. The material on the interior portion of the scrubber (that does the actual scrubbing) has small bristles like a fine brush - similar to the stiff side of a Velcro pad. I prefer the bristles over a flat cleaning material because the bristles don't 'trap' the debris and risk scratching the glass. The magnet is strong enough to get a good cleaning. I found twisting the handle like a door handle is the most effective method, followed up by a sliding motion in the corners as necessary. Just be careful of your adhesive.

Effective and Fun!
I have recently started up two aquariums. When I searched for brushes to clean the inside I came across this magnetic brush. I'll admit I mostly bought it because it seemed like a really cool idea. After using it a few times I can say I'm glad this is the one I went with. It does the job well, and it actually makes cleaning the tank fun! The magnet is very strong. Would recommend!

It works so good it's almost addictive to use!
Love it! Initially, I thought we'll be able to clean the algae on the glass by hand or some sponge. But after a while, we couldn't keep up! So I bought this guy (size small). Just amazing! Sticks so well (we have 20 gal tank), and holds together nicely! Even if I bump it into something and it disconnects, it's enough to "follow it", and the pieces will re-connect. The edges are so smooth to travel through, as it's really easy to transfer from one side to the other. Tougher build-up require some scrubbing, perhaps I needed to pass over a spot for three or four times (like you would when brushing teeth). So initially I decided to wash each side on a different day. But the glass was so perfectly clean, and it was so effortless and quick, that it was really a challenge to stop cleaning! Also, it didn't only clean the algae, but also the lime buildup on the top surface of the water. It even works if I mount the outer piece on top of the plastic edge, the inner piece still sticks to the glass, and cleans it.Best part, we can leave the scrubber in the tank. So it's incredibly easy to just pull it towards a spot and give it a scrub!Awesome solution!!

Strong Magnet works well
I was impressed with how strong the magnets are. I was afraid the connection would not stay when moving it aggressively to get the Algae off the glass, but it did. It did not get it all, some spots were stubborn even with a finger nail, so i cant expect this to do more and not ruin my glass. The soft surfaces did no harm, and the 2 parts remained joined even when going around the curved corners. Would buy again if needed

Not very good, but mine was faulty
Bought this to replace an old smaller magnet scraper we have. Frankly this thing isn't much good. The cleaning surface is just made of a plastic block with a load of small nodules on it. It doesn't clean any crap of off the glass very well. I have gone back to using a standard kitchen scouring sponge. This was a waste of money.Edit. I have been given a refund. It seams that mine was a defected product from the manufacturer. Mine did not have the proper velcro surface that it was supposed to have.

Waste of money
It didn’t remove any of the algae from the glass which was the main reason for buying it in the first place. It also doesn’t take much for the magnet to lose suction, so you spend a lot of time fishing the other piece out of the water. While you’ve got your arm in the water you’d be better off cleaning the glass manually with a cloth!

Not worth the money
Went for this product as I thought it couldn't be any worse than the one I had at present, unfortunately it was just as bad . It doesn't clean the glass properly only thing I can say its a strong magnet. I am now using a non scratch scouring pad which is far better and cheaper than this you might get your hands wet but for the effectiveness and cheapness I will keep with the scourer.

Powerful magnet, easy to use
Ideal for my deep tank. Very strong magnet which holds the cleaner pad tight against the inside of the glass. It cleans most of the glass very easily, but as with all of this type of cleaner, the corners of the tank are difficult to get clean, so I used my razor blade on a long rod.Overall, a good product and good value for money
